Calloway laughed. “How about I make you a deal and give up my secret extra office. I do have one all my own. I’ve just always liked being slightly unpredictable,” she said with a gleam. “Coffee I can’t help you with since your options are the mess hall or Gadi. The mattress though, sure, we can work something out.”

Ooc: sorry Linds and Jenn, please feel free to ignore the thread if you’d rather not reply!
OOC: Welcome back! I’m happy to continue this.
Ryley turned his head towards Gadi’s quarters. “You mean she has coffee? Like the good stuff?”
When he got an affirmation he stood limped to the connecting door and to the door to her quarters then banged on it hard with his cane.
Ryley
MDIt had been a long, restless night. Bethy didn’t feel any better than she had the night before, but she did feel like she had more energy than she did yesterday morning. She finally gave up the pretense of sleep and got up starting the coffee and made the effort to meditate. She called that quits when the coffee finished brewing.
The door slid open and the smell of fresh brewed genuine real coffee almost slapped him in the face. Bethany was standing by the table, in the same robe she’d slipped into after Ryley’s exam, and was pouring the liquid of life into an insulated mug. “Sorry, Shara. Had to put him somewhere, and well it was the best place to keep an eye on him. You get first cup.” She called into the other room through the connecting washroom. She winked at Ryley. “Let me guess. You want coffee too.”

“I better,” Calloway said as she moved over to accept the coffee. “Especially now that I’m farther away usually. Though that husband of mine does tend to make sure I get my caffeine. It was in our marriage vows.” It totally was not, but that was beside the point. “I’ve also conceded that I really don’t need to keep this place as another office, given that I already have one, but I will miss my little hideaway. This ship is too small, not enough places to work nefarious plans,” she said with a grin. To anyone else it might have sounded serious, but these two knew her well enough to know better.
