With everything that was going on and the chaos of his recent promotion, Mwezi felt like it was time for a visit to the Counsellor. He didn’t generally enjoy talking about his feelings, but it was probably a good idea. He stepped up to the room on the Pelican that functioned as Paddy’s temporary office and thumped his fist against the wall right beside the door, knocking.

While he stood there, a hand lifted to idly tug at his right ear - particularly the empty place where two earrings had previously hung.

Paddy McMillan was only now starting to feel calmer about the mission, to the point where he could begin to perform psychological evaluations of the crew again, despite the slight adjustments made to the ‘Pelican’ as part of this mission. The slightly more intimate space had both advantages and disadvantages depending on the patient, but Paddy was hopeful that his latest client, Commander Mwezi, would prove to be an interesting conversation both within and without the context of the mission. He smiled as he answered the door, “Evening Commander, come in. Can I get you anything to drink before we get underway?”
