She was bored as hell. Others were doing interesting things, but not her. Nope. Didn’t the Terrans have a saying about idle hands or something? She supposed the only thing for it was to find something for her hands to do. Yes, it was later, but no one kept regular shift hours these days. At least she didn’t and she dared anyone to call her on it.

Jassa moved through their tiny ship where everyone was either dead and playing someone else, or was deemed a traitor. She didn’t mind. She had heard some of the whining by some of the crew and it just made her shake her head. Jassa and her family had endured the occupation of Bajor and she and her brother had fought in the resistance. Those that complained about the tactics required of their very dangerous assignment had lived cushy lives that they couldn’t possible reconcile with the harshness that others had experience.

Stepping into the Mess Hall, she strode in annoyed that this was the only place to grab a meal. Ah well, maybe something interesting would happen. Immediately she drew attention, and she wasn’t sure if it was that people couldn’t immediately place her, or the skintight black bodysuit she wore, the high heels clicking on the deck. The Bajoran ran a hand over her dark auburn curls that fell to her chin and she flashed a little grin as she moved over to the replicator. “Hasperat,” she ordered, waiting for the food to materialize.

Pikelsimer was seated by the window and saw the figure walk in, but his attention was focused on the glass and quarter-empty bottle in front of him. He was planning on making the bottle entirely empty, and then he heard the word…

Hasperat.

He shifted slightly in his seat and looked at the Bajoran and said “Not many know the dish. Fewer still can tolerate the heat. Kudos to you.” and he raised his glass to her and then took a drink and turned back to the table.

Jassa grabbed a glass of kava juice on a whim and turned towards the voice, her brown eyes taking him in. “Well, my people have eaten it for centuries,” she said with a deeper voice laced with an accent from the Musilla Province. “I take it you can handle the heat?” she said, looking him up and down rather unabashedly, taking a few steps in his direction with a slightly sway to her hips.

Maybe it was the drink (it wasn’t). Maybe it was the constant stress (it wasn’t). Maybe it was just that Micah was so embroiled in the mission that he needed something to distract him (DING DING DING we have a winner!), but he looked at the woman, slowly looked her up and down as equally unabashedly as she had looked at him, and then said “Oh, and then some.” and the chair across from him slid out with a well-placed kick from his foot. “Have a seat.” he said and reached back and grabbed another glass from the tray behind him. “Drink?” he asked and didnt wait for an answer as he poured it half-full.
