Micah was going to chew her out later. Or simply hug her knowingly. Probably both.

It was bound to happen under all this pressure, this stress. Her symptoms were triggered and the best Shara could do right now was to stuff them down until the completion of this mission. Then she could break down, fall apart, and pick herself back up off the floor when she was good and ready and not a second sooner.

Striding into the tiny Sickbay, Shara seemed fine except for the blood and deep bruising. She was in her new ‘uniform’ of black faux-leather leggings that stretched over her well toned lower-half and a jacket in a pale grey that hugged her lean body and flared out slightly over her hips, the collar encasing her neck, she cut a striking image. Especially as the jacket sides were adorned with fabric manipulation that seemed to resemble ribs.

Dark makeup disguising her true age, she was still older than much of the crew, but ‘middle-aged’ was as close as anyone could pinpoint at a glance. Scanning the empty med bay with a deeper frown, she shook her head. It was empty save for one person (their new passenger) and she wasn’t counting on them to be of any use just now given their state. “Anyone alive around here?” she called out, her mask of irritation more or less permanently set for this persona she had adopted.

The passenger lay on one of the biobeds, the top half of his blue patient pyjamas visible while the bottom half was covered with a blanket. His hair had been long, touching his shoulders when they had found him, but was now tied back and his beard had been trimmed. He stared at the ceiling, his left arm behind his head.

“If you’re waiting for one of this lot to help you, you’d be better taking a seat. You’ll be in for a wait.” He said quietly without looking over at Shara. His voice was slightly hoarse still and while most of his wounds had been treated, some bruising across his cheek and jaw were still noticeable.

“Something about a complication with a bio sculpt. Apparently NE O’Fecaf had a reaction of some sort. But I’m not cleared to assist them apparently so…” He trailed off in a bored fashion but did tilt his head to look up at her then.

“Nice outfit.” He said with a sort of half grin.

Foggy blue eyes looked him up and down, her ability to deduce things quickly at a glance very useful in recent days. A tiny quirk of a brow followed this deep study. “I’m pretty sure you’re not my type,” Shara said. Never mind the fact that she was married since for this mission it was a side note. The less her and Micah acted as a married couple in public the better for when they eventually infiltrated the Shadow Syndicate. They were too experience to put the mission at jeopardy should either of them be at risk, but Shara had to admit she was probably doing a helluva lot better with the entire scenario just having him nearby. Coming home to him at night was the one balm in an otherwise unforgiving set of circumstances.

Striding over, she used her good hand to slip up onto a biobed, barely masking a wince. “You’re looking better than when we found you. It’s good news for you.”
