Siadra couldn’t help but laugh good-naturedly. “I never thought I’d learn that, or that someone would offer to teach me. But I like the idea, to be honest. Thank you, Shara,” she replied, thinking that, especially between her new position and there upcoming mission, it would be good for her to be able to defend herself and others better. Plus the added benefit of potentially working through some of her emotions that way. “I should warn you though: I really enjoy teaching ballet and I tend to forget to explain terminology,” she added with a chuckle, her cheeks turning slightly pink. “What shall we start with? Or would a different time work better for you?”

Shara spread her hands out to her sides. “You outrank me and I’m flexible. I’m happy to start now, and if you feel more at ease teaching ballet, I’m game to try. Just know I’m more of a two-step and shuffle on the dance floor gal.” Her hands were still tapped but she’d take it off if Enai wanted to go first.

Laughing softly, good-naturedly, Siadra replied, “That maybe so, but we aren’t on duty and I’m trying to get comfortable giving people orders.” It was something she had never admitted to anyone other than her own therapist. And finding herself share this titbit of information about herself so easily with Shara took her by surprise and made her cheeks turn a darker shape of pink. With a slightly nervous chuckle, she added, “As we are both free and here right now, I’d say now is great time. And if we both enjoy this we may continue at another time as well, no? And yes, I think I’d feel a bit more at ease starting with ballet before you show me how to throw some punches.” Her eyes flickered briefly towards the punching bag while, for a second or so, her expression hinted at the slight apprehension she felt.

Shara grinned and began to unwrap the tape that bound her hands for protection. She dropped the used strips over with her gear, removed her shoes and socks, and moved back to the mat. Spreading her hands out to the sides, she shrugged. “Go easy on me, will you? I’m not as young as I once was.” Which was hilarious given how physically fit she was, but flexibility wasn’t something she had really bothered with a great deal and as she aged was starting to think she needed to focus on.
