Gadi took in the demeanor of the rest of the bridge crew. Some relieved, some more tense, all showing signs of anticipation of what was to come. Times like this Bethany was exceedingly grateful she had no telepathic or empathic ability. She didn’t know how other Betazoids did it, knowing what everyone else was thinking. Returning her gaze to the screen and the image of Cantreken Station before them, Gadi was already sectioning out the external layout, looking for weak points, speculating on how the black crystal like material of the station negated the storms of the nebula, and despite not having enough information, how best to get the ship out of there if need be. The grin crossed her face again, now that she knew about the station, she wondered how hard it would be to get stationed here? New places for adventure and information to be gathered. The thought was fleeting however as she pulled her focus back to what what modifications ‘they’ would be making to her tactical and security systems.

Gadi, CoS

As the Asimov entered the station, it seemed as if all light outside was gone. The blackness of the interior was almost palpable… until suddenly the ‘hangar’ lit up with a deep red light.

The space was truly massive. The Asimov hung in the center of a huge empty space. Outside views showed large crane-like arms hanging motionless for a moment, until they started to move towards the vessel. At that moment, an incoming communication came in and the comms officer put it on the viewscreen.

A Cardassian woman appeared and smiled. =/\= Greetings, Asimov. I am Project Director Val’tre. Welcome to Cantreken Station, our little slice of paradise in the middle of hell. =/\= and she laughed. =/\= Please go ahead and take care of any docking needs you may have. The gantrys will be connected and then you can power down all engines. When you are ready, no rush, I and my Department Heads will meet you in the station meeting hall. We have a security detail ready to escort you. Until the station gets used to you, you’ll need a resident to escort you wherever you go. But that shouldn’t last more than a day or two at most. We are really excited to be a part of your mission. And whatever you all need, we will make it happen. Talk to you soon, guys and gals! =/\= and the screen went blank.

“Curioser and curioser.” Sara remarked casually. She rose from her chair. “Ops, begin the docking procedures. Commander Enai, you’re in command while myself, Commander Calloway, and the agents attend this meeting.”

-Captain Sara Kiernan, CO

“Aye, Captain,” Enai replied with a nod; subconsciously sitting even straighter in her seat. She would like to accompany the Captain and the others. Yet she also knew that, right now, her place was on the bridge. So she kept that thought to herself.

Shara let out a snort of amusement. She had spent some time with Cardassians, both as their enemy and amongst them as a secret friend. Never once had she seen and excitable Cardassian. But then again, their society as a rule never allowed for it. Even long after the initial rebuilding efforts had waned and the society relaxed a smidgen, it still just wasn’t done. But maybe out here the rules became different and people let their guard down. It was something to be mindful of, since if she did that, she’d get herself or someone else killed.

“Aye, Captain.” Si’Rek said and began to initiate all the sequences for docking.

“Captain,” Paddy said, moving across to her as she moved back across the Bridge, “I think it would be beneficial if I accompanied you to the meeting. When I interviewed both agents, I seemed to forge a deep connection with both of them. If they have an ulterior motive, I feel I will be able to dig it out.”

-Lieutenant Patrick McMillan: Counsellor-

Sara nodded gently. “Agreed. Come with us.” She replied.

-Captain Sara Kiernan, CO

Si’Rek, Ops

Sara looked back at her bridge crew, holding in her apprehension. “Alright, let’s go then.”

-Captain Sara Kiernan, CO

Si’rek worked with the Helm officer and soon the Asimov was secured to an umbilical and held in place with large gantries. Once completed, he looked back at Sara and said “Docking completed, Captain. Warp Core and Impulse Engines are on standby.”

Si’Rek, Ops

As soon as the ship became idle and secured, the comms activated and a human male appeared on the view screen. =/\= Asimov, this is deputy Security Chief Roland Hand. Welcome. I have a detail standing by at the hatch to escort you to the Director and the station Department Heads, whenever you are ready. We don’t stand much on formality, so don’t worry about dress uniforms or anything. See you out there. =/\= and the screen went dark.

GM

Calloway fell quietly in behind the Captain as they left moved to leave the bridge to attend this meeting. Her guards were in place and she shot Kiernan a look. “A healthy suspicion is warranted but my guess is they they are genuine about wanting to help. However, just because there is a smile, doesn’t mean a person is truly happy to see us. It never hurts to have a plan in case things go wrong, especially since we’re off the grid now.”

Commander Calloway, CIO

Looking from one officer on the bridge to the next, Siadra gave them all a warm smile and said, “Well done everyone.” There was more she wanted to say, but she didn’t know how to put her thoughts into words. Not to mention that she was afraid to accidentally say something she shouldn’t. After all, she had to lead by example and while she wanted to be honest, approachable and authentic, saying that she didn’t like this mission in such a public setting as on the bridge wouldn’t be a good idea. So she kept her silence and just observed the officers around her.
