“Damn… may just have to start calling you ‘Etta’. Or is that ‘Ms. James’ to me?” Micah said with a chuckle. As the song faded, he dipped her back in a slow and leisurely fashion, before bringing her up very slowly… hangover, after all. As the next song, ‘All I Could Do Was Cry’, started; he looked at Shara and put his flesh hand on her cheek. “Sha… you have a great voice. Promise me you’ll sing to me everyday.” and he smiled. Not his typical wry, sarcastic grin… but a genuine smile; filled with love and appreciation for the woman before him.
“Every day? Well, I’m not sure I can promise that. After all, I’m supposed to heading off somewhere soon enough. But I’ll try for more days than not, does that work for you?” They hadn’t really addressed what would happen when their little vacation time was up, but Shara wasn’t sure she wasn’t to dull the moment with that conversation. It would have to be had though, at some point.
“Thanks for marrying me.”
Micah
Shara grinned. “You’re welcome I guess?” she said with a laugh. “I mean I wish I was a little less fuzzy on the how and why last night, but it’s not the first time in my life I’ve moved forward with a lack of information. But you know what I just realized?”
She eyed him intently. “You’re a dad now. You’ve realized that, right?”

Micah chuckled. “Ya know, I actually did think of Faye. And I think that’s a title and role I’ll leave up to her to apply. At least from her perspective. But yeah… hell of a daughter I got there, thats fer damn sure.” He paused in thought for a moment and then said “Soooo… you gonna tell her? Or wait and make sure I’m not your life’s biggest mistake?” and he grinned.
Micah
It was so tiny- minuscule- the twitch in her eye that appeared before she smirked. “I’ll tell her, but maybe not today. I’d rather wait until I was entirely hangover free. That and I’m working up exactly how I’m going to tell her, because,”-Shara leaned in, her grey-blue eyes glimmering with amusement-“she scares me!” she said with a grin. And there was deeper amusement that normally it was her that was doing the scaring of people, but if you laid her temper next to Faye’s for comparison, her daughter’s was explosive and deadly.

Micah laughed and said “Me too! Maybe we should tell big green first… let him tell her. Maybe we can be hidden off-grid in another Universe by then. I hear the Terran Empire is lovely this time of year.” and he laughed again. “And as far as hangovers go… you ready for some cold water and sunshine? Good walk will sweat it outta us, I’m telling you.” He hugged her close and then stepped back. “And I can sweeten that deal as well…” and he smiled as he moved to the kitchen and bent over, ducking behind the bar separating kitchen from living room. Rising back up, he held one of the most infamous and needed tools for anyone who needed coffee…
An actual stainless steel thermos.
Micah
“Now we’re talking,” Shara said. “But let’s do the walk first and see about the cold water later. I’m not sure I need another shock to my system so soon,” she said, giving him a lopsided smirk.
On a whim, she moved across the great room to where her guitar leaned against the wall and slung the strap across her body. “I’m ready. You lead the way. I can but I might just get us lost and while you know this land and would probably let me get us lost just for kicks, I’m not sure I’m in the mood.”
