Stepping off the turbolift at 0759 hours, Shara Calloway was a different woman than the one people had met last night. Gone was the casual attire and seemingly relaxed demeanour. In her perfectly tidy uniform, Shara was the spitting image of a Starfleet officer, from her rolled and pinned hairdo right to her polished boots. Her assessing gaze took in every station and each person with precision before she moved to the ready room and pressed the chime.Commander Calloway CIO
Precisely on time. “Enter.” Sara rose from her seat behind her desk. “Commander Calloway. Welcome to the Asimov. Please, have a seat.” Sara sat as she gestured to the chair across her desk. She leaned on her desk and steepled her fingers. “So, Commander, how are you?”
-Captain Sara Kiernan, CO
Moving with a measure pace and ease in her limbs, Shara settled into the chair and took in Kiernan. “Just dandy. I know my sudden arrival is a surprise, but for me this is same old, same old. Just a very different setting than I’m used to.” She wasn’t sure if her presence was a welcome one or not yet, but this type of vessel almost demanded some sort of Intelligence Officer. That they were getting someone of Shara’s experience? Perhaps less likely but likely to their benefit. Or at least she hoped.

Sara had a history with Starfleet Intelligence. She didn’t trust that Calloway would give a straight answer to anything. “Commander, what can you tell me about the nature of your assignment here?”
-Captain Sara Kiernan, CO
“Very simply, Captain, I’m here to keep the ship and crew safe by intercepting threats of the informational kind. If those will affect more than just this ship, then I am duty bound to pass that along to my superiors, but at the end of the day I do what you need me to.” Shara leaned forward, bracing her arm on the desk. “I’m a recon gal. It’s what I’ve done since Intelligence recruited me and I’m very good at it. Better than many, and that is not ego talking. I speak a lot of languages and I’ve done more than my share of undercover work. I’m not going to lie, this”-she gestured to the room with two fingers-“is new for me. I haven’t served on a vessel since I was Maquis and forced to be Starfleet. I’m not going to get it right all the time, but I am motivated to make this work, for my own personal reasons. I also know that words are cheap, so all I’m going to ask of you is to give me a fair shake and judge me by my actions.”

Sara nodded. At the very least it seemed the Commander was there to help. “Are there any particular facilities you’ll be needing to conduct these duties?”
