Paddy never could help but squint as the sea blue hue of a transporter beam rematerialised his atoms, luckily in the correct order. The young Irishman grinned, clicked his heels and bounced off the pad. The Andorian manning the controls shot him a quizzical look before shaking his head and looking back down at the console. Paddy’s smile broadened as he placed an arm on the console and leaned against it, “How’re ye,” he began, “Patrick McMillan, Paddy to me friends.” The young man’s Irish lilt seemed to get more aggressive as he continued to talk, “I’m looking for the Captain.” The Andorian held a stare with McMillan for a moment before pointing to a set of blinking lights heading in the direction of the Bridge.

McMillan was used to a small Bridge, so managed to cross it with ease and presented himself in front of the CO and First Officer, “Good morning, Lieutenant Patrick McMillan reporting for duty, who’s first for a session? Little counselling humour for you,” he winked.

The Captain arched an eyebrow and stifled a laugh. She rose from her chair and extended a hand. “Welcome Lieutenant. I’m Captain Sara Kiernan. This is my first officer, Commander Siadra Enai.”

Paddy grinned again, “A pleasure to meet both of ye,” he began while adjusting his pack over his shoulder and accepting a round of handshakes, “Now, I know you’re both very busy so I won’t ask for the grand tour, but if someone could point me in the general direction of my quarters and show me where I’m needed first, I’d greatly appreciate it.”

-Lieutenant Patrick McMillan: Counsellor-

“It’s a pleasure to meet you as well, Lieutenant,” Enai replied with a slight bow of her head, having risen to her feet at the same time as the Captain. “Your office and quarters are both on deck 5. Maybe we can schedule an appointment once you have settled in. I still need both of my boarding evaluations and I would like to talk to a fellow counsellor about a personal matter,” she continued straight forward, though gently. “And I’d be more than happy to step back into my old role once more and do your psychological boarding evaluation,” she added with a warm smile.
