Meanwhile, there was a hum and they could turn to find the CMO Lt Suder appearing before them

Lt Trax Suder -CMO

Trax for his part was released from the transporter to quite a sight! A ‘dragon’ like creature 10 ft by roughly 5ft give or take was wrapped around with its tail laying on the floor with the three away team members. It was currently licking Kala’s hair as if tasting it. At the sound of Trax’s arrival it stiffened a bit but otherwise didnt make any hostile or scared moves.

GM CockRoach

Mazi’s commbadge chirped =/\=Lieutenant Commander Starr to Ensign Mazi, update on the situation down there?=/\= came the XOs voice.

Lieutenant Commander Simon Starr, XO

When the egg had hatched on the edges of consoles popping, Mazi had been moving from panel to panel trying to keep things from cascading out of hand. When it all stilled, she leaned on the wall in shock. From the creature calling Eve its Momma to the others figuring out it ate plants, it all seemed a bit much. Even the odd name it had been given didn’t sit well with the engineer. As her own comm badge chirped, she was almost startled from her reverie. Tapping her badge, she pushed away from the wall and stepped towards the group. She was behind the creature and out of its main vision.

Mazi’s arm went up as sparks flew and she stepped closer to Eve, about to pull her from the console if things there got worse. But then everything happened at once.

The egg cracked and hatched. The creature, as it came towards Eve, made Mazi also pull her phaser. “EVE!” She cried out a second before the tongue slipped free of the creature’s mouth and licked the other woman. When the declaration of Momma was made, Mazi almost went to her backside from the shock. “MOMMA!?” She took another step towards Eve but paused as the woman’s protectiveness became more than evident, the shock on Mazi’s face turned to concern.

=^=Ummm… this is Mazi. We have a situation?=^= The word came out as if unsure it was the right choice of vocabulary. =^= A kind of winged creature has hatched and apparently now believes Eve is its mother. And umm… well, she seems to be a bit overzealous in her role as such.=^= There wasn’t exactly anything ‘wrong’ yet. Well, except that one of the crew was now protecting a creature that this ship had been keeping in stasis. And everyone else seemed eager to treat the thing like an overgrown lapdog. It didn’t sit well with Mazi… not one little bit. And her voice made that thought evident.

Mazi Engineer

=/\= Proceed carefully Lieutenant, this could be a new life form, intelligent or not we must proceed carefully. =/\= Drudoc said.

Drudoc Andone CO

=^=Yes, Sir… of course…=^= Was Mazi’s quick reply. She wasn’t sure this was something she wanted to cultivate and take home to become the Ark Anel mascot. But it was true. It was a new lifeform and she had to respect it on that level if nothing else.

Mazi Eng

“Indeed. I advise for you to proceed very carefully,” Eve echoed with a glance towards Mazi. Then, turning to Gorvel, she added, “Perhaps we should take Jaberwock back to the Ark Angel? We can surely acquire sufficient nourishment there.”

  • Eve (Eng)

Mazi stepped forward then froze hoping her sudden motion didn’t upset the creature. “I don’t think that’s a good idea. We know nothing about it. I am sure we can bring sufficient nutrition here for her, him… ummmm it, for now. We know nothing of it’s temper or how fast it will grow or anything. We need science to get into the logs and engineering as well and see what we can discover about this…thing.”

The engineer wasn’t about to suggest they bring a dragon, for lack of a better term, aboard the Angel. One giant beat of its wings and it could easily destroy nearly anything nearby. She just hoped those in power agreed with her. At the very least, she hoped it didn’t find a home near engineering on her own ship.

Mazi Engineer

Kala wasn’t sure if Jaber was perhaps having some control over her feelings and emotions but the idea of not taking it onto the ship upset her slightly. “The ark Angel labs are far better suited, and larger than here. We can set up a containment and feed Jaber there too.” The trill said as if it was all just a simple mater, Jabr clearly was having an expected effect on her, perhaps it was because she was Trill, she didn’t know. Or perhaps it was nothing at all.

  • Ens. Kala Gorvel

Arthur was intrigued by this dragon thing, he had to admit. But he was completely caught off guard, and wondered if the two women were covered in gas from the egg that were making them act weird.

Arthur Jones, Son of Ruk

Jaber rested its head on Eve’s head while the others discussed things. The thing continued to sniff around now and then. “..Food?” It inquired again.

GM CockRoach

I’d recommend a bay fixed with bedding rather than Science Labs. We know nothing about it and as an engineer, at least, I wouldn’t want it near any of the computers. We don’t know how fast or full it will grow and they could be a hindrance. We know absolutely nothing about it.” She didn’t like the idea of the thing going to the ship at all. But if it had to then she felt the better they could secure it, the safer the ship would be.

Mazi
Engineer

The android could wait no longer while the crew debated matters between themselves. Her baby was hungry and needed feeding. Pulling Gorvel into a close circle with herself and Jaberwock, then motioning for Mazi and Arthur to join them, she tapped her commbadge and announced, =^=Ark Angel, five to beam up. Now=^=

  • Eve (Eng)

Kala didn’t even have time to react as she looked too Eve and then to Jabber, guess they were going to the Ark Angel anyway. She was beginning tot think there was too much talking going on too and didn’t object verbally or physically to the transportation.
