Following the report from the Science officer, another comm was received on the bridge. . =/\=Lieutenant Commander Starr to Ark Angel. I think we’ve determined the source of the power drain. There is a lifeform currently on deck 13, and it may have hatched. Mazi, Eve and Arthur are already there and I’m on my way with Shodan=/\=

We have a situation?=^= The word came out as if unsure it was the right choice of vocabulary. =^= A kind of winged creature has hatched and apparently now believes Eve is its mother. And umm… well, she seems to be a bit overzealous in her role as such.=^= There wasn’t exactly anything ‘wrong’ yet. Well, except that one of the crew was now protecting a creature that this ship had been keeping in stasis. And everyone else seemed eager to treat the thing like an overgrown lapdog. It didn’t sit well with Mazi… not one little bit. And her voice made that thought evident.

Switching channels Drudoc replied again, =/\= Proceed carefully Lieutenant, this could be a new life form, intelligent or not we must proceed carefully. =/\= Drudoc said.

“I’ll attempt scans of this creature and send any relevant data to your console, Captain.” Trainor announced after hearing the reports. The Operations Chief would then cross reference the results with the Starfleet database, once the scans came back.

Scans came back showing the beast was capable of living both in the void of space, and in an at least class m atmosphere. Further scans showed it had a complex nervous system and brain setup showing at least likely some level of cognitive intelligence and probably higher thinking as it grew up. What mode of transport it used in space was probably amounting to drifting in the currents of space but more then that couldnt be determined. Its digestive system was two fold it seemed, one which fed on organic matter, the other by some means of organic energy transmutation. No sign of such a creature had been recorded in their database that Trainor could find, or anything quite like it. Visually it looked much like the classic dragon from Earth mythology but other then that nothing else came close.

“It appears someone on the station was trying to create a fairytale, Captain.” Lieutenant Commander Trainor called out. “That creature could be compared to a dragon visually, but this thing has the capabilities of living and flying in space!” Tenzing exclaimed as he gazed over the data, making sure to send whatever he had to the Captain’s console.

“I’m going to send this data to the console in Sickbay, maybe they can digest some of the information about its biological structure.”
