Trax came up for air as he placed the glass down on the table. “Hello, Doctor Xi’Indrai! How are you?” Trax said calmly to him as he did his best to let the heat subside.

Dinui turned around and regarded him, “Good evening Doctor Trax, I am doing well thank you, are you going to play a game as well or are you just getting familiar with some new foods?” She asked lightly while trying to pretend she didn’t notice his red face from the pepper he’d eaten. Dinui didn’t want to bruise his pride by accident.

“Well… the food for starters is good.” Trax said softly to her. “As for the game never heard of it or ever played it before.” Trax said with a blank look on his face. “I guess I have to get a better understanding of it before I consider playing.” Trax said calmly to her as he motioned the concessioner for another drink.

Simon had noted the arrival of the other two officers as they sat down for some food. He waved at them and called out “we’ve still got some spots open if either of you want to join us, call it a lesson in 10-pin bowling,” he said with a smile, waiting to see if Trax or Dinui would join in the game.

Turning to see the people who the Commander was speaking to she noted another young woman, likely similar to her age but someone who she didn’t recognise however she looked friendly enough and an older man, and by older, he really didn’t look much older than her. she smiled, “We’ve only just started and the lieutenant commander is just teaching me how to play.” She wasn’t sure if she was allowed to drop his rank given their activity and current company.

trax looked over to see the xo and Kala inviting them over. Trax nodded as he stood with what was left of his nachos and moved toward them. “Come on doc lets try this ten pin thing out? Besides never know if I am good at it or not?” Trax was curious. As he moved over to take a seat. “I never did this before. Sir!” as he spoke to Kala and the xo.

Simon gave a soft smile and said “well, time for an Earth sport. Nothing as exciting as the Ulshaan,” he said. He did have an appreciation for Andorian sports, not just the Ulshaan, but the galactic ice hockey team was one of the best. He explained the rules once again for Trax, and helped him with getting the right type of shoes for the alley. “Don’t want you slipping over, these bowling shoes will help,” he said, adding Trax to the list of names as he was added to the end of the list just in time for him to take his turn.

“That’s kind of you sir! I really don’t want to end up in sickbay for an injury. ” Trax said with a small smile. “What about a Ball?” as he looked at the huge selection. “and what are the numbers are for? and why the differences in color?” Trax asked with interest. As he was more overwhelmed by the choices.

Kala was more than happy to jump in and show the Simon that she had been learning, “The numbers are there to represent their weight or mass distribution and the colors are just for looks.” She smiled at Trax she didn’t mind them joining and more the merrier, Kala couldn’t be picky with who she tried to be friends with being the new girl in town and all.
