Miz’uki now alone with just Frogue with the teams splitting up would round a corner to find a access ladder down to deck 37. Entering the large dome like room they found engineering crew scampering all over the core and the room shouting about too much power from this system and to shunt it over to that system and so on and so forth.

Lt. Frogue watched as they entered the room and saw all the engineering staff working hard. Then Frogue spoke up, “Anything we can do to help?”

Frogue

One of the engineering staff nearby nodded, “..Yeah, find my boss Chief Shodan and smack some sense into him! At the rate this energy drain keeps going we’re going to have a full station loss at some point!” he huffed before getting back to his work.

“Alright, I will do what I can to find the Chief” responded Frogue. He then wondered off to look for Chief Shodan.

”..Probably in his office with your XO, over near the core..” The station member said.

Mazi tapped her comm badge, =^=Chief, it’s Mazi… are there any crew scientists or engineers who can come help with this thing? Whatever it is is in a protective field and is being dampened for a reason. I don’t wanna just ‘unplug it’, till we know what’s being dampened and what it could do it released.=^= There was a moment of silence before she clarified. =^=I mean crew from this ship. Hopefully someone who worked with the egg directly.=^=

Miz’uki’s scans of the core showed it was operating at near full capacity, energy draws from all systems being routed then rerouted to try to maintain the main draw from up on deck 15 where the others in the away team were with the ‘egg’ in the science labs. Perhaps finding Chief Shodan or someone higher then a common station NE to get more information ASAP would be wise.

“Maybe we will start to get some answers when the Lieutenant arrives, then” said Frogue.
