Drudoc considered all this, it was certainly odd. “..How strange indeed.” Drudoc said. “..Try a focused variable scan on the deck 15 anomaly see if you can break through the interference. Also is any of the away team near there?” She asked.

“Attempting the scan now, Captain.” The Ops Chief announced as he set up and commenced the variable scan. Trainor also attempted to locate the nearest away team to Deck 15.” The Lieutenant knew his instincts were correct, despite him not being able to piece together the puzzle sooner.

Efforts here were somewhat successful, there was some kind of organic egg like object there in the field which was dampening the power output of the egg object. Going by comm badges, Ltjg Eve, Ensign Kala Gorvel, and Ltjg Mazi were all near the egg seemingly examining it.

“Well it appears Lieutenant Eve’s team is near the source now, Captain,” Trainor said as he continued his scans. “They may be a bit more successful at figuring out what it is exactly since they’re practically right on top of it.”

Drudoc nodded. “..Good, see if you can punch through that personal dampening field on Shodan then..” She said.

Lieutenant Commander Trainor nodded and quickly thought of a few plans that could work. The first was to overload the station’s systems through another power transfer, but direct it at Shodan’s power source. That could work but the chance of injury of death was high. The second plan was to actually drain the station’s power so that Shodan’s power source gradually lost the energy needed to continue the field.

“Unless we have a TR-116 rifle laying around, I’ve got two scenarios.” Tenzing announced. “We can either overload Shodan’s power source through a direct power transfer or drain the station’s power.” He explained. “It’ll take a few minutes for a more thorough scan to be completed, but it the personal dampening field is hooked up to the station’s computer system, I could most likely also hack the system and simply turn it off too.”
