The first dampening field on deck 15 was near the science labs on the station. This one seemed setup as a multi-spectrum and phased dampening field. It was as a result drawing ALOT of power from the station’s power grid to contain and dampen whatever was inside the science labs.

The second field was much smaller and actually was slightly moving back and forth possibly meaning it was on a person! Probably Shaden himself if Trainor had to theorize. It was a self contained dampening field which was about palm size in overall size probably in his pocket. Perhaps a control PADD of some kind?

“As if this couldn’t get any weirder....” Trainor said aloud.

“Captain, the dampening field on deck 15 is drawing an enormous amount of power and I’m surprised it didn’t overload when we initiated the transfer.” The Chief Operations Officer announced as he fixed in on the second dampening field. “and if it looks like Shadon has one on himself as well, but why?” Lieutenant Commander Trainor looked over at the Captain for more direction.

Drudoc considered all this, it was certainly odd. “..How strange indeed.” Drudoc said. “..Try a focused variable scan on the deck 15 anomaly see if you can break through the interference. Also is any of the away team near there?” She asked.

“Attempting the scan now, Captain.” The Ops Chief announced as he set up and commenced the variable scan. Trainor also attempted to locate the nearest away team to Deck 15.” The Lieutenant knew his instincts were correct, despite him not being able to piece together the puzzle sooner.
