Problems with the turbolift, blowouts, and the core unstable. They had work to do, and it wasn’t a small task. Giving the figures that were arguing a moment, once Simon was noticed, the man turned to the XO. When the unidentified officer asked about the Engineering teams, Simon looked toward the turbolift and hoped that the team were not stuck in there. “Currently we’ve got a couple looking at those blowouts, and our Chief Engineer is on the way to the core,” he replied. When he heard about the problems with the turbolift, he didn’t mention that one of the Engineers was an android. “We’ve also got doctors in the central district should you wish to evacuate those nearby - we’ve prepared for that as well,” he informed them both. “Hopefully, we’ll find out what’s going on with the core, so - when did the problems start?” he asked his own first question, having given them the answer they were looking for.

”..About a half a month ago or so were minor power fluctuations down in the science labs. Then they just grew and grew till we put out that call for aide..” Skewer said.

”..If you ask me its due to that weird artifact Shaden had brought aboard from the Beta Quadrant, everything went tipsy turvey since that thing arrived..” The other man said.

When Simon heard the word artifact mentioned, he wondered what sort of artifact they were talking about. “And could you introduce us to Shaden?” he asked, hoping to find out some more about the artifact, especially as it seemed like it could be the cause of the problem. That also meant identifying the source. “And if it would be OK, I’d like a security team to check the artifact,” he asked both Lilliana and the two workers, hoping they could at least point them in the direction to who he could make that request to.

”..I guess we could introduce you, hope you’re up for some climbing though since like I said the turbolifts are wonky. Your security team can feel free to check it out its up on deck 15 in the science labs, again I suggest you climb up to that deck. Take the access hatch two corridors down the hall here..” He directed.

Simon had loved potholing as a child, and even still used the holodeck from time to time to explore some difficult to navigate caves. So when he was told about the climbing, it didn’t seem to bother him too much. He turned to Arthur and his security team “Go and have a look at the artefact,” he said, “and please if you could,” he said to the man who had yet to introduce himself, “it might help solve some of the problems going on here,” he added quietly to himself.
