Posted by… suppressed (1) by the Post Ghost! 👻Medically cleared, the young Andorian mixed woman moved down the hall at a smooth gait. She was found set, physically, for duty. Now it was time to see if her head was in the right place. She smiled wondering what direction one had to be in for it to be in the wrong place.
Coming to the Counselor’s office, she took a tug on her tunic top and tapped the chime. She had an appointment. Her last ship had told her that dropping in on a Counselor, unannounced, wasn’t a good thing. It made you seem desperate. While she knew it was just a check in, she wasn’t taking any chances.
Lt JG Mazhari Allendor
EngineerGuy expected to receive a visit from an Andorian woman from any moment. It was a long time since he really met one of her kind and for the occasion, he carried from the mess hall a bottle of strong Andorian ale, not replicated, nor black market ale. Just some true, legalized ale.
He remembered the first one of that society he met at the Med Uni: what a funny man. And so he did actually had some sympathy for them.
“Come in.” Guy welcomed Ms. Allendor in his office, tucking in the sleeves of the shirt.Lieutenant Freeman, Guy - Chief Counselor Officer
She smiled though her antennae flickered slightly as her eyes looked around the room. “Thank you. Lieutenant JG Mazhari Allendor. A pleasure to meet you.” She offered her hand and nodded respectfully.

EngineerAs the Lieutenant entered, Guy promptly offered her a seat and took PaDD, two glasses and his usual old notebook “May I offer you something before we start? I have here some true Andorian Ale. Not replicated and permitted by Starfleet.” He pointed out the bottle “Otherwise I can serve you something more of your taste.” He half grinned. The woman manners were something he appreciated but the curiosity about the room made him a bit bugged. Indeed he did not like a lot the peeps looking for the room or the decoration, although he was the one who proudly said that it was “a fun to decorate the office.”

She was surprised and the antennae flickered slightly. “Please. The Ale will be fine. Have you had it before?” She moved to one of the more comfortable chairs and settled herself. She crossed her legs at the knees and settled her hands in her lap all proper like. “I don’t get to enjoy it often because I don’t partake in synthahol. I prefer the real thing, so it’s definitely an ‘occasion’ thing.” She watched him watching her. Her antennae now as intent, it seemed, on him as she was.

Eng“Good. I missed the real Andorian ale.” He smiled putting some of the content in Mazi’s glass and then to his “Alright… while you and I enjoy this superb beverage, I should say we shall start, shouldn’t we?” He took the notebook and opened a new page. As the pen swiftly wandered everywhere on the row, Guy sipped some of the alcoholic drink and looked through the Lieutenant’s eyes as he was usual to “Let’s start with something basic. Talk me about yourself, how would you define your persona.” Asked the Counselor.

Mazi settled into the seat and frowned slightly. “I’m not sure what you are looking for. I mean, don’t persona change depending who we speak to? One persona for your work and supervisor. Yet, something different for in private with a lover. Yes?” She took a sip of the ale and the edges of her lips relaxed slightly. “So are you asking who I am with you? With the ship in general? Or perhaps as this is a counseling session, perhaps you want to know what I am like should I ever have a lover?”
“As it is of work I am evaluating for, tell me how are you when you work, how do you interact with crew… but some personal review won’t hurt much. I mean, in the end personal and work sides blends together sometimes and it is essential that I understand of what dough you are made.” He slightly smiled “Just not too much in detail, luckily for you I am not interested in people’s love story-.“ He dropped a bit his tone. The truth was: he really did not had any experience in love stories and everything about mentioning it made Guy feel uncomfortable. 30ish years and still haven’t found his blending soulmate.
Her antenna seemed to take in the room then settle back on the man in front of her, even as the speaker did.

EngAmused by her antennas, Guy looked them for a while before remembering it could be taken as something perverted “Right…” and as nothing really happened, he looked down his notebook and just tried to hide his weirded and embarrassed face.

Perhaps it was being only half Andorian that gave Mazi the openness to let people observe her without commenting or attacking them. She watched with as much fascination as showed on his face as he watched the motion on her head. “They are intriguing aren’t they?” She smiled. “I don’t mind you looking. Though I sincerely don’t recommend it to any other Andorians you come across. It’s almost as awkward as a human being fascinated by a human’s hands when they talk. No one stares at hands, no matter how animated because it’s a natural occurrence. To most Andorians, that’s how it is with them,” her eyes rose to indicate the antennae. They react to my emotions and interests. If I get agitated, they will move more, if noises happen I am aware of, they will ‘look’ to that location despite my head not turning.” She fell silent and shook her head a moment. “I guess it’s hard to explain, but the point is, I don’t mind you watching them. Just don’t take such blatant liberties with others.”
She went back to his original questions as she took a sip of her ale. “Well, I don’t have a love interest so no worries about me pouring my heart out on you.” She laughed. “As to how I interact, I guess I am both a team player and a lone wolf, so to speak. I can take direction and go off on my own and complete given tasks. But I also function well in a group. I tend to take the lead if no one else does. And I admit there are times where a leader has hesitated or seemed unsure and I have spoken up. I know the difference between professional and personal confrontations and can be as polite and formal as a situation dictates.” She looked down at her glass a moment. “I think one of my failings is when it comes to the safety and security of the crew and ship. I will not hesitate to shut something down, or throttle back on something because I feel that not doing so will endanger lives. I don’t do it willy nilly, I will certainly bring it to the Chief’s attention if possible. But I’ve been known to react first, then explain myself second.”
She wasn’t sure how well that answered his question, but it was the only response she had thought of.
