Miz’uki got up and waved a paw-like hand to Eve and the Science NE on her team to follow her “Let’s start at the core and work our way out” she purred to her team using her wearable tricorder to guide her to the main core

Like everyone else Kala had almost immediately begun taking in their surroundings, there really wasn’t much to offer except for what everyone else had already pointed out, when Miz’uki spoke she nodded silently keeping her science field kit close to hand and the tricorder she had retrieved from it in another. and followed the Caitain with a respectable distance.

Heading out to the corridor the pair passed by another pair of station workers who were too in depth to their alien language arguement to not notice Miz’uki and Kala as they followed the corridor to a turbolift. The lift opened and was empty for them.

IC Miz’uki looked at her team “Eve once we get to the core I want you to start running diagnostics on the EPS grid Mazhari I want you to start scanning the structural integrity of the core While if they would be so kind Kala and Lieutenant Frogue start scanning the Singularity and making sure it is stable” she said taking charge of her engineers and science

As the lift moved it didnt go far before reaching deck 35 a deck above where they wanted to go, it slid to a halt due to power loss. The group now in the general dark of the lift

“I guess that wasn’t meant to happen,” Kala said her hands patting down the walls of the turbo lift before finding the smooth control panel. She tapped it several times but nothing. “We could try prying the doors open, see if we were lucky enough to stop on a deck exit.” She suggested the low light of her tricorder which she had just flicked open making it possible to see.

Miz’uki quickly started using her tricorder to scan the turbolift and figure out how to get the turbolift to move the last little bit and open the doors up

Scans of the turbolift revealed a power surge had blown out the relays above their heads in the shaft, so the emergency lift latches had engaged to stop them from free falling and the like. They probably could simply phaser the door or force it open by brute strength then find a ladder or something on this deck to go down to 36

Eve stepped forward, her ocular implants still capable of limited vision in low, or even close-to-zero, light.

“I believe I am capable of opening the doors,” she declared. Removing a small, flat-wrench from her toolkit, the android attempted to insert the flat end between the closed doors and pries them open enough to gain width to insert her fingers.

Eve was easily successful, and was then able to force the doors open without much trouble, the corridor beyond was in low power mode dim lights for emergency power flickering even now. The corridor went from left to right.

This time it was Kalas turn to move first, she wasn’t a fan of small spaces and with the power issues didn’t want to stay in the lift any longer incase the anti-grav locks decided to also fail. So she stepped out from the group and onto the deck the flashlight now attached to her wrist and pwered on as she scanned the corridor firstly to her left and the to her right the beams cutting through the dimly lit and rather eery corridor to see if there was anything of note.
