The half Andorian took one more look at her uniform, nodded in satisfaction and headed out of her room. She had managed to catch the ship before it headed for its next mission the day before the engines revved up. It meant she hadn’t really had time to settle in. Thankfully, the last new engineer was female and took up the last pairing for roommates. Till another female engineer showed up, Mazy had the room to herself. She had turned one of the beds into a couch and the second desk into a dining table. If you squinted just right it almost looked like a Senior Officer’s quarters, albeit with 1/4 of the floor space.

But it was hers. And till the situation changed, she was content.

Heading into the hall, she turned and made for Medical. “Make sure my heart is beating… then make sure my head is screwed on straight… then see the new boss to let him know I can start work.” She murmured to herself as she traversed the corridors of her new home. “Piece of cake.” She shook her head and laughed.

A few minutes later, she stepped into the Medical Bay and looked around. Her big ice green eyes gazed around, her antennae twitching as the sights, sounds and smells ticked off different boxes in her mind as people wandering around, talking and the smell of antiseptics. She looked for someone who wasn’t busy as the doors closed silently behind her.

Moments later Trax stepped out of the office to notice a new officer standing there. “Well, Hello there Lt. What can I do for you today? I am Trax Suder the CMO of the Ark Angel welcome aboard LT. ” The CMO asked her kindly and politely to her. As he waited calmly for her to catch the sights in.

Her antennae swiveled a moment before her head did. She smiled and nodded. “Mazhari Allendor. Mazi, please, Doc. I am here for my boarding check in.” She had been impressed at how organized and clean the place was. Her last location was always hectic and chaotic. That included Medical. She wondered, sometimes, how they had such proficient departments when, compared to here, they resembled a children’s play yard filled with toys.

“Come this way? Please have a seat on the main biobed. As Trax pulled out a tricorder and started scanning her. “Is there anything that is concerning or that not on file as of yet basically concerns or problems?” Trax asked as he did one final pass with the tricorder. As he sent the info to the computer for comparison from her last Medical exam. “Please calm me Trax at times theses titles get in the way of so much.” Trax said with a small smile to her as he went to the master display and tapped a few keys and transferred the information back to the tricorder.

She nodded. “Trax it is, thank you. No, nothing since last check up.” She watched him move with the efficiency that medical and engineering personnel seemed to have in spades after doing the job long enough. “So any advice for being here? I mean, of course, besides ‘stay out of trouble and stay out of medical’.” She laughed though it was soft and obviously not something she did often.

“No, I don’t believe so my dear.” Trax commented a bit informally not realizing it. “I believe you have your head on straight.” Trax said kindly to her. “Other than sometimes try the forward lounge its a great way to meet your fellow crewmates and get to know more of the ship and her crew thataway.” Trax added with a smile. “All looks good here your free to finish off what you need to do as in on coming aboard procedures.” Trax said calmly. “And again welcome to the Ark Angel.”

Mazi nodded and smiled. “Thank you, Sir. And I will do my best to see you socially and not professionally if I can help it.” She hopped off the bed and nodded once more, her antennae nodding on her head a moment later. “Thank you again.” And she moved to the door. Counselor then Supervisor. One more step towards her career chapter here.
