Kala was strolling the field her gin mostly finished and having spoken to mostly everyone already she was trying to think of what to do next when she saw Lieutenant Trax heading to leave. Finding her stride Kala fell in step with the man, no wanting to top him leaving but more to check he was OK. The last time they spoke Kala enjoyed their conversation and hoped their second would also bare fruit. “You’re leaving?” She asked pleasantly as they stepped out of the holodeck and into the quiet corridor.

Trax felt a presence familiar but friendly as he was exiting the holodeck. As the voice finally penetrated the vale that trax had around him. As he waited for the doors to close behind him. “yes I am…” Trax stopped carefully and waited a moment for the right words to come to him. “I just felt in the way there.” was the closest thing for him to think of at that moment. But in actuality, he was feeling he was watched again but not by the people in there if he wanted to be paranoid he would do it privately again from his cabin. Trax wanted to say more but gave up trying to figure out the right words.

Kala frowned in confusion at the officer’s words, she didn’t quite understand how he would be in the way when there were so many people and so much going on. Deciding not to push the matter she smiled washing away the frown and spoke. “Well, would you mind if I walked you back this time? I think I’ve had one too many Gins and don’t think I should embarrass myself during the first office get together” She watched Trax carefully both with curiosity and concern.

“I don’t see any problem with that shall we get you home to your cabin?” Trax offered to get her home safely. “Trax was focused on her safety. “Where is your cabin assignment?” Trax asked her. Focusing on her well being which gave him a chance to forget his troubles for a bit. As they walked down the corridor towards the turbo lift. “Most of or all of the departmental heads have their quarters on deck 4 but I am possibly going to consider to the captain a change for me that I am closer to sickbay it would make things easier to complete.” Trax said to her as they walked along as they closed on the turbo lift location.

Grateful for the offer Kala responded to his question quickly, “My room is on Deck 10, 110C. Its not near any turbolifts so I hope you’ve got your walking shoes on” She said giggling a little with a hiccup. She covered her mouth and apologised, “I’m sorry, I guess I did already have a little bit too much to drink.” In an attempt to unwind at the party it would appear Kala let herself unwind a little bit too much but she was glad to have Trax with her, she felt safe.

“No problem Ensign.” as trax tapped the call button on the turbo lift. as they waited for the car to arrive. “There is nothing wrong with unwinding but going too far can lead to more troubles.” Trax commented he was glad that she felt comfortable around him and felt safe. The doors opened to an empty car as they entered the lift. Deck 10 closest to 110c please. as the computer beeped in compliance with the request as the doors closed and they were off to their new destination.

Kala followed in behind the Lieutenant and having crossed the threshold before resting her back against the wall her head titled up supported by the turbolifts bulkhead with the motion of the now moving turbo lift making her stomach and head swirl. “We should have walked the whole way, I don’t think that hotdog is sitting with me well.” Kala really didn’t have that much to drink, she was tipsy maybe but drunk to the point of illness was not the cause.
