Seeing the CMO, another crewmember whom Eve knew by personnel record only, move away from the small crowd to take a seat, the android decided to approach him for an introduction.

“Hello, Lieutenant Suder,” she announced. “I am Eve. I have brought beer. Would you like some beer?” And with that, she separated a single can from the pack and held it aloft towards the medical chief.

Simon was staring at the federation logo stoicly when the message for the BBQ came through. He had just received some troubling news, and now he had to fulfill his own promise. He didn’t know too much, just that a new name appeared as a person of interest in the relation to the Orion Sydicate. A captain of a mercanary that worked for them for hire. When he saw the captain’s name, he ran the intelligence against the things he knew about Thomas. Just because the name matched, Simon wanted to be sure - but there was his gut feeling. He trusted it during his time as a security officer, and he knew to trust it now. Captain Thomas Starr is wanted in relation to crimes of the Orion Syndicate. That was the notification he was given. And the only information he had.

He got briefly distracted, seeing the ping, and when he saw it from Guy, he knew it would be a good opportunity to schedule an appointment. He was going to need it. But, as first officer, he knew it would be good to mingle to get a feel for the crew morale on the ship, so he decided to make a note to record a message when he got back. He also hadn’t been to a BBQ since he was on Earth, as a graduation party in England. He put on his off-duty wear, a checked shirt and black jeans, and a pair of black shoes that were a cross between comfort wear and work wear, it was sort of difficult to tell. He then went to the holodeck, and the smell of the smoke and cooking food was the first thing to hit his nose, and was always the first thing he remembered about these things. It helped distract him from the news he had, but he did appear to be a bit troubled as he began greeting those that arrived. “Well, that smells good,” he said, forcing a smile to at least appear like his mind was in the right place.

Lieutenant Commander Simon Starr, XO

With the shortly paused arrival of Eve, Trax and the XO, Guy started feeling the usual odd impression of overpopulation. Indeed, never Guy had stayed in a room with more than the entire DH complement.
“Uhm…” Guy shyly introduced himself “Welcome to you all. Please feel free to get a seat and enjoy… this evening!” He arguably chuckled nervously “I am still grilling some Hamburgers, steaks and hot dogs. So if you want to order some drinks…? I will serve you.” He paused “Oh and to get some fun, I and Eve organized some poker to enjoy altogether.” He pointed out the cards and the fiches stacks.
From now on, the party would’ve been interesting but not for Guy. Not yet.

Lieutenant Freeman, Guy - Chief Counselor Officer

At the mention of her name, Eve briefly shifted her focus from Suder and back towards the rest of the group. “Yes, we have organised poker,” she agreed. “And I am now well versed in how to lose!”

  • Eve (Eng)

All trax could do is smile at eve’s comment on losing. But did not say anymore. He would probably be in the same boat as her being on the losing side. As he returned back to his meal.

Kala had left the company of Eve and Guy both of whom she would have been more than happy to spend the entire event with but had made the conscious decision to mingle with as many people a possible, after all, she loved these kinds of events and was the ‘new girl’. “Doesn’t it just!” She exclaimed turning to the lieutenant commander holding her glass of gin in one hand and what the holographic chef had called a ‘Hot Dog’ in the other. She didn’t need to be told what was in it just that it tasted amazing!. “I really recommend this… they call it a Hot Dog!”

Simon chuckled at the comment. “America did always come up with the strangest of names for things. I assure you, I have no idea why we called it that - I mean, the meat was typically made of pig…” he said. “I was always more a fan of the burger though. Double cheese for mine, if you don’t mind,” he called over to Guy as he prepared the food. “You know, a year ago, I was in a similar position at the Academy. The counsellor had arranged a meal, it ended up in a discussion on how the counselor managed to get real, non-replicated, food onto the Challenger. One of my favorite times at the Academy,” he shared, breaking the ice. “Of course, this time,” he said with a smile pointing to the surroundings. “It’s replicated, definitely replicated,” he concluded. He kept warm as he discussed, and then when he had reminisced in the moment. It always brought back good memories. “Now, you are in a similar position to I was on this ship. How was the academy for you?” he asked curiously. The reports told him what the officers excelled in, but not necessarily what they took away.

Lieutenant Commander Simon Starr, XO

“Y-Yessir.... Double Cheese ahahah…” Guy chuckled. As the burgers and the meats cooked, the counselor put plenty of dishes with already heated buns, prepared to be assembled into burgers and hotdogs. In addition, all the sauces were not replicated but prepared by Guy himself. Too busy to tell them about his effort, he just left them there silent assembling the firsts hamburgers.
“Oh if you don’t mind,” Guy selected his words “Could you please pass me my glass of Italian Wine?”

Kala sipped her Gin and thought carefully for a moment, “It was a lot different to how I pictured it, I had this image of grandeur but it was all made relatively small by the way I had to leave Trill and by the Daystrum institute, whiiich is a conversation for another time.” She added finishing her hot dog and followed it down with another larger sip of Cherry gin. “That said I did learn to enjoy it even if it didn’t have anything on the Daystrum Institute and I’m glad I did it because I wouldn’t be here speaking to you. What did you think of the Academy sir?”

It was about this point the holodeck doors slid open and two more figures entered. The first was the half-romulan/human now 8 year old daughter of the Captain’s, Tel’eck Andone. She was dressed in a florescent white-pink jump suit that stood out starkly to the colors around them. Drudoc herself meanwhile also entered in a more casual off duty jump suit of grey tones. “..Wow Mom there’s so many people here! Looks like I’m the only big kid here though. That ok?” the girl said.

Drudoc looked about, “..I’m sure its quite alright, just don’t cause any trouble. Go get us a table and drinks. I’ll be along shortly.” She said. The girl happily dashed off to the food and drink table. While Drudoc moved over to where Guy, Eve, and the others were gathered. “..I trust the invite to everyone includes myself and Tel’eck? If its an issue for her to be here just let me know..” She said letting it clear if it was a problem they should say so.

The hearing of the Captain’s voice, froze Guy’s blood for five seconds, and almost made falling the XO’s second burger “Oh crisp!” He said in exclamation as the burger flew over his head “C-Captain?” He looked confused at the romulan woman and the kid…
What the hell was happening there?

And after a few more minutes another Roman entered the holodeck wearing black trousers and his Roman Academy polo shirt. He went inside and headed straight for the bar.

Simon acknowledged the new figures arriving, seeing the captain bring her daughter along. Tal’eck was growing up quickly, and he swore every time he got a chance to see her on the ship, she was another few inches taller. He only had limited intereaction with the non-crew members, but being the captain’s daughter - it was probably one of the younger people on the ship that he actually saw more often than not. As Tel’eck went over to grab the captain and herself a table, he personally didn’t see a problem with the captain and her daughter being here, but this was Guy’s event and so left that decision up to him. “Good to see you captain,” he said, still trying to find a moment to catch Guy alone to ask to set up an appointment.

Trax started to feel out of place as he finished off the lovely food and beverage as he moved to the replicator for recycling of the plate and utensils he would gather his dishes later after all was done as he headed to the exit quietly. He realizes this was a bad idea for him to be here now as he couldn’t wait to leave now. He tried not to make it obvious that he was leaving. as he greeted others as he passed by and had brief conversations with them as he walked. He grabbed another beverage something that was tropical looking as he took a sip and moved alone. As he approached the exit the doors appeared and gave the doctor what he wanted a way out.

Lt Trax suder - CMO

Kala was strolling the field her gun mostly finished and having spoken to mostly everyone already she was trying to think of what to do next when she saw Lieutenant Trax heading to leave. Finding her stride Kala fell in step with the man, no wanting to top him leaving but more to check he was OK. The last time they spoke Kala enjoyed their conversation and hoped their second would also bare fruit. “You’re leaving?” She asked pleasantly as they stepped out of the holodeck.

OOC: We can start a new thread if you wish to have our characters walk and talk in a less congested post :)

~Ens. Kala Gorvel.

Guy moved towards the Captain, sighting with the outer sight field Kala and Trax at the door “Captain… hey there!” He awkwardly moved towards her with a cloth in hand “Uh....”
‘What do I say?’ Guy started panicking in front of his CO “W-Welcome… can I perhaps know what do you want…? For food Of course, I’ll be taking your order, ahaha…” The Lieutenant felt a sort of cold feeling everywhere and the numbness of his arms. The fact he was literally apart 50cm from her, made the Counselor felt uneasy, not for the fact that she was someone to hate (indeed she was clearly an awesome woman), but because she was… Romulan. And he had pretty much a bad taste of their society.

OOC: seems a good idea. Let’s split the thread into the table and the grill nearby so it can be manageable :)
For the XO, as I finish questioning the Captain I’ll get some wine so take that chance to bother the Counselor.

Lieutenant Freeman, Guy - Chief Counselor Officer

As the Captain entered, Eve immediately registered, and with increased interest, the presence of Andone’s own daughter. The android had only limited experience of interacting with children, but had always found them easier to understand and to connect with than adults and lacking the inherent prejudices and preconceptions that the ‘grown ups’ tended to form, however subconsciously it might occur.

Moving over to the young girl, Eve adopted a welcoming and enthusiastic tone as she declared, “Welcome to the party, Tel’eck. Are you…having fun?”
