Kala turned in her chair as the voice of the newcomer, with ehr face in full view Kala recognised her immediately to be Eve the ships and maybe even the federations last few androids since its ban after the mars attacks. Having worked at the Daystrum institute and living on Trill Kala didn’t have any animosity towards androids, in fact, other than maybe Guy, Kala was very much looking forward to meeting her and had hoped to meet here at this social event if only to talk about how she was finding life in Starfleet among a few other more pressing scientific questions, Kala had come across Eve’s file as an understudy. Standing from her seat she smiled politely, Eve was shorter than Kala which she found odd as most androids she had seen or studied were usually taller. “Hello Eve, I would introduce myself but I can only imagine you have already figured out who I am, it’s very much a pleasure to meet you in person.” She stretched out her arm to shake the other woman’s hand.

Trax was finishing off the preparations for his contribution to the party with some oscoid salad and some potato salad and macaroni salad. “There !” as he finished the final touches to the salads and placed them on a small grave utility cart along with utensils and dressings along with salad spoons and tongs for the salad. So he can to bring down to the holodeck where the party was to be healed as Trax was dressed in a nice off duty outfit. As he grabbed the cart and moved to the door to his room as it opened. He left his quarters and headed to the nearest turbo-lift near him as he pressed the call button. “I hope they picked a great venue.” Trax said to himself softly as the doors opened to the empty car as he entered with the cart. and he got turned around as the doors closed. “Holodeck one please. ” trax asked the lift as the lift started on its journey to its new location. moments later the lift came to a stop to add on more passengers. Trax smiled the best he could. Then I finally spoke. “Hello!” Trax commented to the newcomers to the lift. The others smiled back and returned there greetings to the doctor. As the doors closed and they added there stops to the lift as they were too heading to the holodeck. As the lift took off again to the location. a few moments later they stopped again as the doors opened and they exited the lift along with Trax and cart in tow. as he turned to follow the others to the BBQ Party. He was pleased there seems to be a good turnout and he felt a lot of questions being asked or felt about the party and the host. But Trax did not stop to ask about it as he approached the holodeck doors as they opened to a beautiful setting. As he entered and moved towards the buffet table and placed his contributions on the table nicely and arranged it for a more pleasing effect as he placed the utensils near there respective dishes. as he moved the cart out of the way so others could begin to enjoy the dishes and the activity. Trax got a small plated and gathered some of his favorite dishes and moved to get a drink and he walked to the pavilion to find a shady play to sit and eat. He greeted people as he passed them politely. He found an empty table to sit at with a nice view of the area and with a less instructive view and to take advantage of the nice breezes. As he sat down and started to nibble the food he picked.

Simon was staring at the federation logo stoicly when the message for the BBQ came through. He had just received some troubling news, and now he had to fulfill his own promise. He didn’t know too much, just that a new name appeared as a person of interest in the relation to the Orion Sydicate. A captain of a mercanary that worked for them for hire. When he saw the captain’s name, he ran the intelligence against the things he knew about Thomas. Just because the name matched, Simon wanted to be sure - but there was his gut feeling. He trusted it during his time as a security officer, and he knew to trust it now. Captain Thomas Starr is wanted in relation to crimes of the Orion Syndicate. That was the notification he was given. And the only information he had.
He got briefly distracted, seeing the ping, and when he saw it from Guy, he knew it would be a good opportunity to schedule an appointment. He was going to need it. But, as first officer, he knew it would be good to mingle to get a feel for the crew morale on the ship, so he decided to make a note to record a message when he got back. He also hadn’t been to a BBQ since he was on Earth, as a graduation party in England. He put on his off-duty wear, a checked shirt and black jeans, and a pair of black shoes that were a cross between comfort wear and work wear, it was sort of difficult to tell. He then went to the holodeck, and the smell of the smoke and cooking food was the first thing to hit his nose, and was always the first thing he remembered about these things. It helped distract him from the news he had, but he did appear to be a bit troubled as he began greeting those that arrived. “Well, that smells good,” he said, forcing a smile to at least appear like his mind was in the right place.

With the shortly paused arrival of Eve, Trax and the XO, Guy started feeling the usual odd impression of overpopulation. Indeed, never Guy had stayed in a room with more than the entire DH complement.
“Uhm…” Guy shyly introduced himself “Welcome to you all. Please feel free to get a seat and enjoy… this evening!” He arguably chuckled nervously “I am still grilling some Hamburgers, steaks and hot dogs. So if you want to order some drinks…? I will serve you.” He paused “Oh and to get some fun, I and Eve organized some poker to enjoy altogether.” He pointed out the cards and the fiches stacks.
From now on, the party would’ve been interesting but not for Guy. Not yet.Lieutenant Freeman, Guy - Chief Counselor Officer
Kala had left the company of Eve and Guy both of whom she would have been more than happy to spend the entire event with but had made the conscious decision to mingle with as many people a possible, after all, she loved these kinds of events and was the ‘new girl’. “Doesn’t it just!” She exclaimed turning to the lieutenant commander holding her glass of gin in one hand and what the holographic chef had called a ‘Hot Dog’ in the other. She didn’t need to be told what was in it just that it tasted amazing!. “I really recommend this… they call it a Hot Dog!”

OOC: Reply to this post. For mistake I’ve split the post :p
OOC: It happens :) And if Simon gets one whiff of Romulan Ale, you’ll all be in trouble.
IC: Simon chuckled at the comment. “America did always come up with the strangest of names for things. I assure you, I have no idea why we called it that - I mean, the meat was typically made of pig…” he said. “I was always more a fan of the burger though. Double cheese for mine, if you don’t mind,” he called over to Guy as he prepared the food. “You know, a year ago, I was in a similar position at the Academy. The counsellor had arranged a meal, it ended up in a discussion on how the counsellor managed to get real, non-replicated, food onto the Challenger. One of my favourite times at the Academy,” he shared, breaking the ice. “Of course, this time,” he said with a smile pointing to the surroudings. “It’s replicated, definitely replicated,” he concluded. He kept warm as he discussed, and then when he had reminiced in the moment. It always brought back good memories. “Now, you are in a similar position to I was on this ship. How was the academy for you?” he asked curiously. The reports told him what the officers excelled in, but not necessarily what they took away.
