Kala had munched through half her lunch by the time her friend had returned but knew that they would be spending more time talking than actually eating. “I know! I’ve only just moved into my quarters as I was beamed from the shuttle straight to the ship as it was about to go to warp. I can’t believe we’re already off on our first adventure. I’m going to have to find things to fill my room…” She thought as if just speaking her thoughts, much like she was sued to when in the company of Lillian “The Academy could never have prepared me for the size of this ship, what deck are you on?!”

Lilliana ate while Kala talked. Lilliana nodded, mouth full, in response to Kala’s comment regarding finding things to fill her room. At the Academy, they’d had to share rooms and hadn’t had much space apart from a small bed, a small desk, and a footlocker. Since they’d only had minor details about their first assignment and minimal time to arrive onboard, they hadn’t taken much with them. It left Lilliana wondering what others officers did with it all. Lilliana swallowed her food and took a sip of tea as Kala asked her question. She thought a moment and then replied, “I’m on 20. 177A. What about you?” She paused a moment. “Have you met anyone else yet?”

Somewhat gutted they hadn’t been placed closer to one another, “Ah damn, I’m on 10. 110C. Oh well, that’s what turbo lifts and legs were made for right!” Kala chuckled at her own joke quickly taking a sip of her spring water in one small gulp. “I’ve checked in with the counselor ‘Because I have ‘daddy’ issues’‘ She thought, the captain and also the Chief science officer Lieutenant Frogue, they all seem nice enough and of course. How about you?”
