So things had been pretty hectic since Kala arrived on board, they were already leaving and she hadn’t even found time to explore the starbase before being beamed from the shuttle straight to the ship and now she found herself outside the ready room. Kala barely had time to be nervous at this stage she was just so damned excited about the prospect of going on her first mission with her new crew. Her own excitement even annoyed herself so she particularly felt sorry for anyone she came in contact with over the next 48 hours which unfortunately included the Captain and the Chief Medical Officer. Raising her right hand she pressed the doors chime and waited her mind drifting to the mission at hand.

Kala took a sharp inhale before she entered the Captains ready room. Upon entering she immediately found the Captian through the doorway and proceeded to move further into the room and stopping short off her desk. The Captain was a female Romulan, there wasn’t much more to say about the matter than that as far as Romulans went she was as to Kala as Romulans was. “Ensign Kala Gorvel, I just shipped across from the Academy Ma’am>”
