NE Eureka had a busy day ahead of her. The lab was bustling with activity from the journey into the beta quadrant, and there was a hum of excitement in the science department, thanks to the exploration the Ark Angel was about to undergo. In preperation, NE Euraka had set a lab station aside for her own personal studies, which included looking at microscopic lifeforms. It was then she noted something about a sample of soil collected from the planet before the vulcan blew himself up.

Catt was as usual tending the plants in the arboritum when the call came in. She was in fact feeding the carniverous Andorin plant while singing it a Andorian. Feeding it was accomplished by using a ten foot spear with Andorian skaav mear stuck to the end shaped to look like a living Skaav and moving said meat puppet about in a manner that simulated life. Catt had determined that the plant was doing poorly due to a lack of excercise so was inducing it to hunt it’s prey rather than just letting the automatted feeder drop meat into it’s mouth. The plant finally snatched the lure and Catt withdrew the spear and sealed the Carnivores barrior again. She tapped her combadge,
=^=Bennet to Euraka. Where are you? I’ll join you as soon as I have stowed my gear=^=, she replied as she walked to the locker, cleaned off the spear and secured it into lockdown. She didn’t know anyone on the shipvery well as yet . So wondered why anyone was asking for her. Technically till Lt Frogue met and cleared her for duty she was just a passenger who kept busy tending the plants.

=/\=I’m in General science Lab two, Bennett=/\= the response came. Eureka looked at the dirt sample, and the small bit of slime that wiggled around within the patri dish. And she looked back at the screen with a look of confusion.

OOC: Because Catt isn’t checked in yet IC, and the CSO is currently LOA till the end of the week, this is supposed to be after that so Catt would be checked in at this point ;)

Catt headed for the lab wodering what was going on. Eurika was a excitable sort so it was potentially not anything to special. Still it was good to have someone actually want her for something. A year at a post where everyone ghad excluded her and blamed her for everything that went wrong even if she was half a planet away had reinforced her tendency to stick to solo projects. But she missed4 working das a team..

“How can I be of aid?”, she asked as she entered the lab and walked over to The NE.
