Reading through a PADD, John was talking to himself quietly as he familiarized himself with the ship. He needed to go to Sickbay for his boarding physical which was somewhat ironic since he was a Medical Officer himself, his health was fine for the most part. His life had been filled with medical intervention before, despite the appearance now as a child he was very ill a lot of the time, his immune system didn’t function until he was 12 when his condition was cured. He now fought tooth and nail to keep himself in his present condition, using his intense exercise regime to try and distract himsef from the lonliness. He was ambitious and unfortunately his ambition had squashed a few toes on his rise to try and be the best possible.Tugging on the teal uniform, trying to straighten it out like his… No, couldn’t think about that. Entering the steel, glass and lifeless sickbay, he saw that his medical team was already hard at work. Going over to a nearby wall, he was content to blend in and observe. He was in no rush for his past to be dragged up, cross-examined beore hastily being drowned back down into the slurry pit where it belonged.
Ensign John Gray (Medical)
“Hello there Ensign! Welcome to sickbay what can we do for you?” Trax said calmly to the newly arrived officer.
Ensign Trax Suder Jo Doctor
“I’m here for my boarding physical, I’ll also be a part of sickbay as a doctor.” John explained to Trax, going over to the biobed quickly and sitting down.
Ensign John Gray (Medical)
“Welcome doctor. I see we are in a rush. I will make this quick.” Trax commented with a straight face. Trax grabbed his tricorder from his smock as he started his scans. “are there any issues I need to be aware of?” Trax asked calmly. As he moved the tricorder up and down the doctor’s body to give a complete scan. As the information is shown on the master medical display. He pulled up the information from Starfleet records and started comparing the results with the last medical scans.

“Sorry, it’s just that I’ve got so much to do.” He explained, red hair failling over brown eyes. The young man looked tired already and work hadn’t even begun. “Just this one.” John said to Trax telepathically since the other man was a Betazoid. Hopefully he’d understand his apprehension and fear over these powers as his records were displayed, showing that he was experimented on as a child by his parents to fix a degenerative neurological disorder in his brain, the drugs were too powerful and it activating his latent telepathic abilities from his great-grandfather who was a Betazoid, only it amplified them. “Now you know everything…” John stated.
Ensign John Gray (Medical)
“All is looking good.” Trax said calmly to John. As he finished looking over his records as he hears John in his mind and his Apprehension and felt his latent fear. ~John is fine I won’t say anything to make more trouble but I am willing to help you with your telepathy. Just let me know.~ Trax thought to john hoping he heard him and understood him. Trax felt bad hearing of all of his treatments and the lack of compassion As he knew the child version would had to go through to become what he is now.

~I really appreciate that offer and I will take you up on it, I have difficulty in controlling my telepathy, it’s sheer power is often too much for me, I can’t block out the voices of others and it hurts.~ He thought back to Trax and allowed the scan, telekinetically grabbing a hypospray and filling it with an analgesic. ~It’s for the migraines, they’re nearly constant. Painkillers only treat the symptom, not the disease.~ He thought again, preferring to use telepathy for such private matters. He still had nightmares about his childhood and was a little upset by his parents cold, analytical demeanour towards him and wondered if he wasn’t just an experiment to them, another problem to be solved, something to be made more efficient.
