Trax looked from Dominic to the others as they all spoke as he took in all the conversations but finally spoke. “I will Stay Dominic as long as I am not a problem or a distraction. As he grabbed a bow from the rack and looked the weapon over as looking at its construction and design work. As he tested the bowstring before grabbing a bow and cocked it and looked for a free and clear target free of obstructions. As he shot it towards the target as it hit the bullseye of the target. “Well look at that its been some time since I shot a bow and still made the target.” Trax said with a soft voice to himself. Not sure if the others heard him or not. As he grabbed another arrow as he stood there a moment in thought in his mind a moment as he took in the area again before he took another shot. as he hit the other arrow and split down the shaft of the arrow to the bullseye.

Simon put the crossbow down, just as the chief would enter and hear him say. “Ensign. We will never be perfect, any single one of us. It’s what makes us unique,” he said. “That’s the reason I joined, because I appreciate the freedom we have. Freedom to be who we are, and that’s a cause I believe in,” he said, nodding towards Trax, as though he wasn’t directing this at only Corvex. But don’t for one minute think that it makes me perfect. I have days I wonder if I made the right call. We almost all died back with Shanok. We didn’t, because we worked as a team. It’s our jobs to cover each other’s flaws. Whether the day my brother said goodbye, that I couldn’t have done more, that his “see you soon,” could well possibly have been a goodbye,” he said, calmly but there. “Second guessing ourselves is a luxury we can’t always afford, Ensign,” he concluded before turning to Trax. Simon still asked himself that about his brother, each and every day. And it was something he still thought about.
“Corvex started it up, not a bad shot, I must admit,” Simon said with a smile”How’s the ambassador and Raxx, doing doctor?” he asked, as he picked up the crossbow once more and loaded it, shooting his target once more.

Trax was feeling out of place now than ever. As he spoke. “They are fine Lieutenant Starr. They’re doing well there trying to figure out what to do next.” Trax said as he was distracted a bit. “Maybe I should go? I never meant to intrude.”

Dominic looked towards trax and shook his head” don’t go....I want you to join trax…please? As your friend?” He asked with hope in his eyes “if I didn’t want you here I wouldn’t have let anyone join.....” He stated

Ranlei had very little to no interest in archery. It was part of her overall disinterest in violent solutions. So her entering the holodeck was not based on the activity but on who was using the holodeck at that time. She had however dressed for the sim in use this time. Running from a T-Rex in high heels had taught her the value of practical footware. Ruining a party dress during the same adventure had influenced her garment selection. It was a rugged hnee lenth skirt a blouse with a to the navel plunging v neck . She was Orion after all and practical still meant alluring. A jaunty robin hood cap cocked to the side and the ankle boots finished it off. It was all in lincon Green which was a lighter shade than her own skin tone. “Would you gentlemen mind if I kept you company.”, she asked as she entered.

“Well the Holodeck is running Fine I will continue my checks of the ship’s systems and what not See you all later!” she said turning and leaving the holodeck as Ranlei entered

Ooc: We had a split. Or 3. So putting it where I think it ought to be.
“Corvex needed some reassurance, that’s all. And plus its important that as your XO, I think everyone should know each others flaws, and weaknesses,” Simon told the doctor when he wondered if the conversation was a private one, the room now getting even busier with Ranlei on the holodeck. “Otherwise, we can’t enhance each others strengths, there will be times when we are out here when all we will have is each other, and that’s important to remember as we go into the unknown,” Simon replied, letting out another crossbow bolt. “It’s been a while since I used one of these, the real thing has more kickback,” he commented. “I was just sharing with Corvex the reasons I joined up with Starfleet. Ensign, Doctor Trax, any stories from your time in Starfleet, or what led you here?” he asked the two officers who had most recently joined them, while reloading once more, but just keeping the bow pointed downrange, looking towards the rest of the crew.

Ranlei moved over to watch Lt. Starr shoot. Being sure to not get in the way of his shooting. They knew each other of course. Not as well as Ranlei wanted perhaps, but she was careful to keep refering to him as Lt. Starr in her head. She had largely given up on chasing him and was now trying to put him into the friend zone box.
“Mind if I add a touch of whimsey to this?”, she asked but she didn’t wait for an answer. She produced a padd. She always had 3 or 4 of them on her somehow. Considering she was wearing exactly where she kept them was a mystery simular to how Klingons carried 30+ weapons while wearing a Starfleet uniform without Anyone noticing.
She did this as Simon was reloading so that next time he looked up to take aim the target was being held by a velociraptor. It wasn’t a mobile but more of a lifelike statue. Ranlei had named it Janeway and it had lipstick on and the infamous Janeway updoo hairstyle. The command tunic fit a bit snugly. Since snug was the uniform style.
It would of been a t-rex but it was a matter of scale. Hopefully the XO would appreciate the joke.Ensign Ranlei Greene. Engineering
OOC: A split that would probably be best fit in posted in :)

When the Velociraptor appeared, Simon was just a little bit out of time jumping out of the way, as it brushed his shoulder, and looked over at Ranlei playing on her PaDD. “If I were on duty right now, this would be a very different conversation,” Simon started off, a serious tone in his voice. “But, I think I might deserve that,” he said, “and command seems to have slowed my reactions down a little bit, not a good sign,” he chuckled. “Keep on your toes, at all times,” he looked over to each of the crew, and he looked towards dominic with a serious look in his eyes. “We’re going into the unknown,” he responded.

OOC: Would have helped if I pasted my response before I posted after snipping it :P
