Drudoc came over to where Miz’uki was escorted by a group of the wild eyed children of the ship, almost 20 in total. Tel’eck for once was not among them. “..So what do we got here Lieutenant?” she asked the chief engineer.

“This is a Display for my peoples holiday of Ancestors eve My People are warriors by nature So Ancestors eve is a multifaceted holiday firstly we honor the warriors who have not returned from the battlefields of the past by putting together this ceremonial Warriors marker,” she said indicating the weapons that she had set in in the sandbox

the Sword was similar to a Katana however the bladed edge had cat claw-like serrations and a crossguard style handle hanging from the crossguards were a pair of Knuckledusters that had small one round projectile weapons build into it and finally the helmet set atop the pommel it looked vaguely similar to an ancient earth Spartan helmet with the exception of Cat ear pockets “This is similar to the Idea of the earth Soldiers Cross It represents the warriors who never made it home These are the traditional field soldiers weapons Katsla’h a warriors sword The Mur’brah a Warriors Gauntlets and the Hel’mrura the Warriors helmet make up the marker whereas the gear I wear is more ceremonial and made for show A clan during this time will come together for feasting and celebrating family” she explained as she talked about the pieces of the marker “The Sword represents a Warriors Soul The Gauntlets their Faith and the Helmet their mind together they make something that is unbreakable!” she said

“This holiday is also a time where we look back on the previous year as well as look towards the new year setting goals and Milestones for the Path we will tread through the year” she said “we also use a special drink at this time because at this time of the year the Spirits of our loved ones can be reached” she said picking up a bottle “This is SpiritNog its made from a plant on my world similar to earth catnip but any humanoid can partake of its effects It allows the drinker to spend one more day with the Loved one that they choose to think about when they drink” she gave a knowing glance to the captain “The spirit of the loved one in question also has to be willing to come back for the day they have to have a need or a desire to come and speak to you again” she explained before putting the bottle down

Drudoc looked a little put on the spot but then shook her head no. “..I will pass on the drinking of such Lieutenant. Such would conflict with my own beliefs.

“Finally there is another special drink we share during the holidays Its a Brandy made from a fruit similar to the Earth peach and it has a very low Alcohol content This drink is used in a toast to the future if your parents are ok with it You all will be able to share in the toast with me!” she purred as she finished her presentation and bowing to the children being very careful about ceremonial Weapons attached to her arms and legs when around the children

A few of the parents nearby seemed displeased by the offer of even low alcohol to their kids, thankfully the kids were smart enough to turn it down. “..None for me miss, my mamma says thats bad for me!” One said making notes on a PADD about the holiday.

”..Thank you for that presentation Lieutenant.” Drudoc said moving on down the line to where Ranlei was “..So ensign what uh you got for a presentation for us?” She asked. Some of the kids looked a bit wide eyed at Ranlei’s state of dress and some of the parents shot some warning looks to her.

Simon kept himself apart from the group going around with the captiain but was intrigued by the stand that Miz’uki had set up, so was within earshot as she explained what everything she had meant to her culture. When he heard about the low alcohol content drink, he made a note and nodded towards Arthur before making his way over to the stall himself. “Rather intriguing, Lieutenant,” Simon began. “Though I think schools would have a field day if children were given such sharp weaponry to play with, kids can be so… unpredictable that I’d worry about their safety, but I can see the appeal of contacting someone on the other side. I personally believe those that have gone to rest should stay at rest, so like the captain, I shan’t partake,” he said, before pulling out a tricorder and scanning the other drink that Miz’uki offered to see just how much a caitian considered “a low content” of alcohol.
