It was 0900 hours when while busy cleaning phaser rifles, the new COS Arthur Jones and Ensigns Chavez and Furood would hear a cry of distress from the next door target training room 1. “..AHHH the target’s they’re firing back!!” cried NE Dull, such a cry of alarm surely had to be impossible as the projection systems in the training room were simplistic and never meant under normal means to return fire unless programmed that way somehow!

Cursing in Klingon, Arthur grabed one of the rifles and took off running into the training room, narrowly avoiding a blast that would’ve hit his head. “This is wrong. They aren’t supposed to shoot back!”

Another round from the five 2.5 dimensional holo targets came the COS’s way but these were just holo safety rounds, while they stung a little on impact hey weren’t by any stretch life threatening. The problem facing them was weathering the barrage of fire to get to the shut down panel nearby. From there it would be an examination to figure out what caused this odd safety malfunction!

Arthur frowned. He viewed himself as having 2 options. The first was wait and slowly move forward and hope to get to the panel. The other…it was risky. He sighed, and looked at NE Dull. “Ensign, please for the love of God tell me you know how to use this.” He said, gesturing at the phaser rifle in his hands.
