Katie let out a gentle laugh as Suder made his attempt to escape from her office. “I have time now, Lieutenant, you’re not interrupting anything,” she commented lightly. “What’s up?”

“The usual parents wanting to control our lives. more precisely my mother. I thought I would be more at ease and safe by being in Starfleet but now It might cause more dangers.” Trax said with a sigh. “I was banned from betazed. at least I was the first-ever as far as I know. MY mom wants control of me, my love life and my choice in a mate and future children.” Trax said getting to the point quickly. The only contact I have is the Ambassador Roni Rall. And his Aide/security man named Rax. And my current lover as you humans would call him but my imzadi.

Katie nodded understandingly as the situation poured out of Suder. She took a moment to appreciate that she had pushed to get more information. The poor doctor had a lot on his mind… and in his heart. “Parents have a way of doing that and exerting their control in the most inopportune ways,” she acknowledged. “Would you be willing to share why you were banned from Betazed?” She tilted her head in interest.

“That was mothers doing. I was not going to marry who she wanted me to too or leave star fleet to help the family plant seed so the family can have more offspring and mating with people i am not remotely interested in. and I was not giving up my seed for it to be frozen and have unknown offspring of my loins wanting to know daddy. I am not like that.” Trax said trying to control his temper and anger alone with trying not to cry.

Within seconds, Katie’s hands had shot out to grasp Suder’s knee. She squeezed comfortingly. “I hear that you want to have an involved role in any offspring and that wasn’t consistent with your mother’s desires. It’s so difficult when there is such a fundamental disagreement in the means to an end, especially with someone that we’re biologically related to.” One more squeeze and she released his knees and sat back again. “I’m not as familiar with Betazoid culture as you’d think, given the number that have entered the counseling profession. Your imzadi… are you in an active relationship with him?”

“I am currently involved with Raxx. He has been an a great help to me during the new exile. Even the ambassador Roni Raul also is a great help to me as well.” Trax commented with a calm soft voice. “Roni was also my first love as well. ” Trax added. Calmly to her. There both in agreement about the lack of the government officials understanding and the Parliament lack of rules of love especially from the ancient houses of Betazed. I am surprised there has not been a cival war over it.” trax said with a sad tone to his voice.

“A mate can be a source of great comfort in a time of emotional turmoil,” Katie acknowledged as she listened to Trax’s story. “That doesn’t change the feelings of abandonment that you must be feeling by your home planet. Do you plan to pursue anything else to try to end your exile?”

“Short of giving in or being kidnapped are the only ways of restoring my citizenship.”Trax said with a sad voice. “Ambassador Roni Raul is trying to get Parliament to see reason. But Mrs. Suder has apparently some influences in the Parliament which its making it harder for him to get headway with them. ” Trax said flatly. “I am just waiting at an in opportune moment we get attacked by the Orion syndicate or another mercenary group to take me back and face mother dear. And take my seed by source.” Trax said with a bit of terror in his voice.

Katie frowned at both his sadness and his words. While they sounded like a slight conspiracy theory, it was still something that she needed to push on a little more for the safety of the crew. “Have you mentioned that information to the captain?” she asked, her tone gentle. “I wonder if there are Starfleet resources that could step in here.”

“Why yes! The captain and the Chief of Security and the engineering department know as they were looking over a device a Robo camera that looks likes it was Orion in origin. sooner or later the entire ship will know of my disgrace.” Trax Commented with a soft voice. “What betazoids aboard might be told to ignore me or not to socialize with me because of the issues currently going on or even maybe try and take me out and take me home. Its hard to tell what mother will do??” Trax said again softly as his eyes let a few tears fall. Anger was starting to form as Trax did his best to refocus it to not cause him or others harm. As he fell silent for a long moment. Then he finally spoke again. As he wiped his face with a tissue he found on the coffee table. “Raxx has become my center and calming influence. Along with now being my imzadi and bodyguard to keep me from harm. from the Orion’s and my mother.” Trax said as he wished he had a drink now.
