OOC: Can you please explain how am I doing this? I just follow the post with my post, but for some reason I’m splitting the post? I don’t know how or what I’m doing. Please help

OOC: Ok I’ll try to explain this as best I can. When you are viewing posts there is a blue button down by the reply one called ‘next in location’ you want to make sure you read through posts until that at least doesnt show up, i usually then suggest that you check the list of threads along the bottom of the page to ensure you arent possibly viewing an already existing split from there you want to reply to the latest dated one. If a split then is found by me I can more easily fix it and set things straight. I dont worry over this normally if it happens once in a while mistakes happen to everyone it is just you kept doing this and I felt frustrated having to fix it again and again. I’m sorry if I came off rude or something I didn’t mean too. Your activity level is great and your posting more or less solid in detail but you just need to ensure you can avoid constant thread splits, and also making sure you read replies to everyone and respond to them appropriate. So what I mean by this if I post something like

“Phillip saw a giant worm monster attempting to attack him!”

Then you would want to reply with something appropriate like dodging the attack or something then wait for me as GM and others to catch up and reply in our own ways to keep the action or threads moving, same as if I posted something like

“Phillip found an important clue to the plot!”

Again you want to reply investigating this and probably in some cases reporting to others in the area in many sims its important to not always assume your character will know an answer to something that wouldn’t be realistic in any sense. If you feel confused then instead of replying in character jsut do an OOC note at the end asking for help

Does this all make sense Phillip? I really try to help people learn where needed but I can only do so much obviously. I know you didnt go through the Academy which is fine I didnt either but then I had experience in play by post style rpgs like STF from my past before joining so I adapted quickly to the differences, STF for some can be confusing in our style so I often recommend going through the Academy, but since you skipped that then I would suggest trying to help you out the best we can this way but I cant help if I dont know you’re truly confused or lost on something. To me it just seemed you were ignoring what I had said previously obviously this is not the case for which I’m happy.
