Arthur blinked at the man’s friendliness. It was only a tiny bit off-putting, but he quickly recovered. “Ah, yes sir.” Arthur said, “if the replicator can make it, I’ll take a bloodwine, otherwise, a raktajino will do fine.”

“Well, I recommend against the bloodwine, doesn’t taste as good as the real thing,” Simon responded with a smile. “So, Raktajino it is, at least it tastes a bit like what it’s meant to,” he commented. “Firstly, welcome to the Ark Angel, Ensign,” Simon looked the officer over, and could see he didn’t hold himself like other humans. “Is this your first assignment with Starfleet?” he asked.

Lieutenant (J.G) Simon Starr, CoS

“Yes sir. It is.” Arthur smiled a little at the man’s comment about bloodwine. “Yeah, still havent found a replicator that can make decent bloodwine. Too much blood, not enough wine.”

Simon nodded and replied “if you ever find one, then let me know,” he chuckled. “And what made you decide to join Starfleet?” he continued.

OOC: Will cover this for now as the XO position doesn’t officially kick in until after the current main sim, so not to leave this hanging will keep it going for now.

“I decided I’d carry on the legacy of my birth parents. They fought and died with honor, so it’s only sensible.” Arthur said, referring to when his parents disobeyed orders from a corrupt XO and saved the Klingon ship that his adoptive father, Ruk, would ultimately command.

“I joined after their time, but we always remember those who sacrifice themselves for the greater good. It’s been an earthen tradition that has been going on for hundreds of years,” Starr replied, a more reflective tone when Arthur first came in. “So, you were raised in a klingon family. Have you had your physical examination yet?” he asked.

Lieutenant (J.G) Simon Starr, CoS ((here, at least))

“Not yet. Though I’m probably more fit than most humans, I can go the distance with both my brothers and live through it.” Arthur chuckled at his own humor, both of his brothers were full blooded Klingons, and brutal.
