“He is in his office,” NE HelpDesk said, “just through that door there,” she said, pointing to a door on the back wall.

“Thanks.” Arthur said, heading for the door. I could’ve figured that out myself, thanks. He thought, ringing the chime for the office.

“Enter,” came a southern British accent, almost like a British farmer from the other side of the door as it swooshed open. Inside a human man was sitting at the desk. He had an athletic build, bright eyes and slick brown hair that was kept with a sweep to the right. “Welcome aboard, Ensign,” he said, not challenging his presence whatsoever. “Would ya like anything to drink?” he asked with a chirpy tone in his voice.

Arthur blinked at the man’s friendliness. It was only a tiny bit off-putting, but he quickly recovered. “Ah, yes sir.” Arthur said, “if the replicator can make it, I’ll take a bloodwine, otherwise, a raktajino will do fine.”

“Well, I recommend against the bloodwine, doesn’t taste as good as the real thing,” Simon responded with a smile. “So, Raktajino it is, at least it tastes a bit like what it’s meant to,” he commented. “Firstly, welcome to the Ark Angel, Ensign,” Simon looked the officer over, and could see he didn’t hold himself like other humans. “Is this your first assignment with Starfleet?” he asked.
