About this point the holodeck doors opened again and the tall, strong, feminine form of the Romulan Fleet Captain Drudoc Andone entered. She was a striking sight to some perhaps standing at 6‘1 or so in height, her hair normally tied up in twin buns on her head was let down to her shoulders for her time in the holodeck. Her dressing choice was a one piece black raven colored dress. Nothing formal or flashy but form fitting and relaxed.

After a brief chat with the host waiter she moved into the simulation giving a few friendly waves to various folks present. Striding over to where the group of Dabo tables were she took a seat nearby to watch. “..I trust you all won’t mind your Captain watching in? Rumor mill said some action was happening on the holodeck tonight and it’s been a bit since I had a night off to let my hair down and not worry about my daughter running amok..” She said nodding to the NE waiter taking a glass of brown liquid of some sort to sip at it after speaking.

Dominic smiled seeing the captain “I don’t think we have properly met yet captain, I do apologize for that. And I must say, I may not swing that way but man you look amazing. ” he said smiling at his captain after complimenting her.

Ranlei giggled at Dominic’s coment. As she turned to answer Simon “I grew up in a Human colony and the 1930’s were a interesting era Simon. You don’t mind me calling you Simon do you? But to be too faithful to the era would clash with modern social customs”, She said hovering close to The Security Chief. And she nodded to the Doctor, “Catering to personal prefrences was a large part of why this program took so long Dominic. Ihope you do not mind if I am informal Doctor. “, and she turned to the Approaching Captain who she was aware of but had never met face to face. Captain. I am glad you came. I hope you find everything satisfactory.”, while her role within the sim was as a Casino girl and lounge singer Ranlei could not help being the proud host as well. She flourished a hand and offered the Captain the ten thousand credit chips that each guest recieved as a courtesy.

“We’re technically off duty right now, so that’s OK, but don’t do it in front of my security department, I have a reputation to maintain,” Simon responded with a smirk. “And good to see you captain. Heard the word casino and had to come check it out, everything is in order at least,” as he continued having some fun at the dabo table.

Ranlei rolled her eyes and laughed, “What kind of Orion would I be if you could walk into my casino and spot illegal, dodgy or against regulations activity just by walking in and looking around Oberlieuntent Starr? Someday I will create a simple street activity scene for your use. You can train your Security in it. Score them and yourself on the number of infractions they see. But my casino is about having fun. Just relax and let the security I have programed into it deal with any issues. There were a few Ferrengi at the academy who like to see what they could get away with. I didn’t discourage them but I did list everything they tried back to them after each session.” She said in a joking tone.

“Hey, as I said, right now I’m off duty - and I have a reputation to maintain among my own officers,” Simon smiled as he cheekily placed down another bet on another round of dabo - he had been doing quite well so far, but only making small bets each round. He had actually decided this time to put an extra 100 down on two slots of the dabo wheel.

Dominic smiled watching Simon place his bets at the dabo table, he hadnt actually ever really heard of dabo until now so he decided to watch Simon for a few minutes. Of course as Dominic was watching it unfold he had a light blush appear on his face.

Ranlei sighed. “Fine I will stop teasing you. Boring like all Security types. She said as a young bellhop came over and got her attention. She stopped smiling and said, “Excuse me folks looks like we have some VIP’s checking in that need my attention,, and she headed over to the ornate stained glass doors that led into the Hotel lobby and headed passed out of the Casino proper.

Simon shrugged “Ha, boring…” he let the word hang in the air for a moment as he thought.

“But Tom, that’s so boring - why do we have to move it, surely there’s machines for that now,” a young Simon in his minds eye said. “Simple, so that if someone thinks they can bully you at school, you can stand up for yourself, now flip it,” the other figure from the memory said. Thomas Starr, older brother of Simon, and he couldn’t help but smile as he had the flashback of one of his keen memories of his brother. Shaking his head slightly, he bought himself to the here and now. Thomas was missing, after all. He had looked out for him for years, and now it was Simon’s turn. Five years was a long time, and as he saw Ranlei leave he bought his attention back to the room, seeing the young doctor standing there. “So, you just gonna watch me or have you figured the game out yet?” he said warmly to the doctor in a very strong southern british accent, of a man who obviously grew up on a British farm.
