Katie smiled gently at Corvax and released her hold on his knee to pat it a few times. “Overreactions happen,” she observed, her tone quiet and understanding. “You made it on the Endeavour and succeeded at that challenge. I’m proud of you for getting past what sounds like a very traumatic situation.” She paused for a moment to let her words sink in. “Losing a friend is always horrible, no matter the situation, but you have an amazing opportunity here on the Ark Angel.”

Dominic looked at her and nodded”thank you counselor. Maybe now I’ll be able to focus better, now that I talked about Lucas and his death.” He said feeling just a little more confident then before he entered the room

Katie’s head tilted to the side as she noted the dramatic change in Corvax’s reaction. While she was glad to have helped, she made a mental note to follow up with the ensign later on. These quick turnabouts were usually short lived and it would be worth ensuring that he was still settling in well in a few weeks. “Is there anything else I can help you with?” she queried, gently.
