A few moments later, a slightly amused looking officer in the color of medical/sciences wandered into the transporter room. While she’d slowly been getting used to shipboard duty as a counselor, an away team was a new experience for Katie and she wasn’t quite sure how she felt about that yet. She looked around the room at the faces she had seen during the crew evaluations in between missions and then took her place.

“You must be our new Counselor?” Lieutenant Commander Trainor said as he turned from his Operations Officer to face the newcomer. “I’m Lieutenant Commander Tenzing Trainor.” The man said, extending his hand for a shake. Tenzing groaned internally at the sight of a Counselor aboard. He had been able to skip his past reviews with Starfleet Medical, but knew he’d have to face his demons sooner rather than later.

“Hello Counselor, I’m Lt. JG Stu Philips, Ops. Officer. Pleased to meet you.” Philips said. “Hopefully you’ll find the Ark Angel will be a great ship to serve on.”

The CMO arrived after the arrival of the new officers. “Well welcome aboard!” The officer came over and shook there hands. “I am the Chief Medical Officer Doctor Trax Suder. Nice to meet you.” Trax said with a kind voice. As he gathered up his gear quickly as he prepared forthe away mission.

Simon was already present when Katie arrived. Seeing the medical uniform, he was told about a new counselor coming aboard, and went over. “Welcome aboard, counselor. I’m Lieutenant JG Simon Starr, Chief of Security on this fine vessel,” he said, remembering the details from the crew reports that he received daily.

While everyone else moved close to greet the new councelor Ranlei hung back smiled and nodded from a distance it wasn’t like she could hide or anything it was a small room and being lime greem was lousy camaflage in a starship. So she adopted the look normal and don’t be noticed technique. “I thing sir I will need to go down as a second trip.” She said to the COO while pushing a antigrav sled with excavating tooks a power generator and various tool kits, “The Archeologist had quite a laundry list of tasks he wanted Engineering help with sir.”, and looked fairly unhappy about it. “Whoever it is that things starship engineer equates to construction worker needs a refresher tour at the academy.” She grumbled in German in a low tone. “If he needs his toilet repaired…” and she cut herself off before finishing.

Katie beamed as she greeted each of her new fellow crew members in turn. She knew that she would have the opportunity to meet each of them one on one later and kept her greetings simple and friendly for now so that they could continue to focus on the mission at hand.

“I’m hoping their aren’t any toilets that need to be cleaned, Ensign.” Trainor laughed. The Operations Chief looked around at the group then stepped onto the Transporter Pad. “Lieutenant Philips, Ensign Renlei, you two will beam down in the second wave.” Tenzing stated. “Everyone else will be coming with me.”

Katie nodded an affirmation at Trainor’s orders, still feeling slightly uncomfortable at being present on an away mission, but interested in seeing a new side of her ship-board counseling career. She took her position on the transporter pad with the COO and waited slightly impatiently for the fun to begin.
