Stu Philips walked to the holodeck and told the computer, ==^==Computer, program a medieval times village, 16th Century England==^==. The computer said =^=Enter when ready=^=. As the doors opened, Philips saw a remarkable representation of a Renaissance village. He was dressed in historical clothes. He walked around the place and saw dozens of booths that sold food, leather goods, jewelry, and weaponry. The people reacted to Philips by saying, “Good morning My Lord”, to which Philips responded, “Good day My Lord or My Lady”. Philips learned how to speak old English. Obviously, because Philips was dressed as a middle class traveler (and not a peasant), he was treated with respect. He stopped at a shop that sold a leather pouch that went with the costume he was wearing. He was enjoying this village. Stu was amazed at how accurate all this was. Stu remembered reading about the renaissance period and was always curious about visiting a culture like this. He knew he would/could spend hours here.

As Stu continued to walk through the village, he saw stages where people were doing different kinds of acts. He watched jugglers, magicians, knife throwers, and actors in a Shakespeare play. He made friends with some of the people he met. At the far end of the village, Stu saw areas where the people participated in games of chance. There was axe throwing, archery, and feat of strength. Stu tried them all. The village proved to be a great place to stay and have fun, living in the 16th century.

The renaissance period was a fantastic place to live in. Stu found out that the people were very friendly and didn’t care who you were. He was amazed at how accurate this simulation was.
