[snip]Nobody had directly told Sterling anything. But he took the words between the Captain and the CoS as a go ahead. So he steped over to the Runaabout and undid the lockout that kept the hatches from opening. The personel hatch cycled open immediately. Sterling got out of the way them moving to stand nearby if needed but otherwise trying to be invisible.
The usual half a dozen crew replacements made their way out of the runabout a couple moving over to tap the runabouts nose art of a ardently devilish looking lady with a bent halo over her head’s scantily clad posterior in the traditional TY for a safe trip gesture of ancient aviators.
The Pilot then exited half carrying, half dragging a older model eva suit that had the handle built into the chest plate. They had quickly gone out of style once a few enemies had starting using the handle to manhandle those wearing the suit. But the handle looked useful at the moment. The pilot wasn’t overly gentle and bounced the suit off the doorframe a few times. He was a Nava Romaian as he wore the Scant style uniform that only Nova Romans prefered. Like most Nova Romaians his opinion of criminels was fairly low and it showed in his treatment of the to his knowledge prisoner. Once he had it out of his runabout he let go letting it drop to the deck. Ar this point he noticed his audiance. “I only have verbal orders. So you can send complants to to the security at the Starbase. I’m going to see to my ship now.” And seeing as he hadn’t set foot off his runabout he felt no need to wait on permission so he turned and reentered his little kingdom. If he had said your dismissed it wouldn’t of felt more like a dismissal.
3 days of being in a eva suit was far from Ranlei’s idea of being good. The sun shade polarized the visor so she couldn’t see much but shapes. The suits voice controls were locked out and her arms locked together behind her. They had locked out sound too. Blind and deaf. She tried to get up but could only flop around like a fish. The liquid nourishment kept her from actually starving but it didn’t fill a stomach. She had seen a angry green fist coming at her and woken up locked helpless in a eva suit. For 3 days she had panicked. She was being transported obviously. She had cried she had struggled she had worn herself out. She had no illusions. She was a green. Someone was collecting her for the slave market. She was feeling broken already. She’d make someone a fine slave she guessed. She stopped struggling. She had never met another Orion in her life and the day she did he had knocked her out and enslaved her. No wonder everyone assumed she was a bad seed. The blurrs outside moved towards her. Here it comes. She muttered to herself.
Ensign Ranlei Engineer. Desperately wanting a shower.
Simon ran over and picked up the inhibitor, arranging the hypospray as requested and walked over to the captain handing it over. “Let’s hope that they cooperate,” he said as the hypospray changed hands.
Lieutenant (J.G) Simon Starr, CoS
Drudoc approached speaking to the EVAed woman, “..Hold still then miss we’ll get you out of there in a moment. ” She said injecting the hypo through the suit to stifle the pheromones she might give off. She then removed the woman’s bounds and helmet.

With the binders removed Ranlei was able to lift off the floor onto her hands and knees but she was confused as to why her captors would unbind her just now before they had her in a cell. She of course couldn’t hear them with the sound locked out. In any case she was too weak to take advantage of the seeming mistake. The helmet seal released with a soft hiss and she gulped at air that wasn’t thick wìth three days of sweaty Orion and tired air scrubbers. She was staring at the white deck. Well that was also confusing. Duranium plating was of course used by many races but in general few would use white. The noise was near deafening after 3 days of silence, but she recognised them as typical for a docking bay. As her eyes adjusted to the light and she blinked away tears she looked up at whomever had taken the helmet off. Raising her bruised face
Up she saw a woman in Starfleet red. “Oh thank god.” She managed to wheeze before the sheer emotional relief caused her to faint.Ensign Ranlei. Engineering
Drudoc at 6‘2 was no slouch in the muscle department and her strong nimble romulan physique easily caught the orion woman as she fainted. “..Lieutenant get medical down here to check her over!” She said.

By the time the captain had said get medical, he had already begun to call them.
=/\=Lieutenant Starr to medical, doctor needed in shuttlebay, we have an orion female who has fainted, we’ve given her an inhibitor to deal with the pheremones=/\=
Starr kept a little bit of a distance behind the captain, but continued watching cautiously. The words that came out of the orion’s mouth however were not what he was expecting. If it was someone from the syndicate they definitely wouldn’t be relieved to be aboard a starfleet vessel, so he wasn’t entirely sure what was going on at the moment, and kept his guard up.

Trax heard the call while he was in medical for a few hours to try and get some odd work done. “I am on my way.” as he grabbed his medical kit and out the door and headed off to the shuttle bay. It took him no time to get there as he started to scan his new patient. “What happened?” Trax asked anyone that might have seen anything. Even with the inhibitor active in her system, it gave Trax a headache from the feedback is it were. Then Trax wondered if this was a ploy of some kind to try and take him? He shook his head and continued to scan the female Orion.
Lt Jg. Trax Suder - CMO
When Trax arrived, Simon went on alert. Remembering the conversation with the doctor in his quarters, Simon was watching the Orion’s moves carefully. He would be ready to respond should the situation become necessary. “We are trying to find out ourselves, doc,” Simon responded. “It’s rare I see an Orion thanking god when they see a starfleet uniform…” he added “usually they’d be worried we arrest them, something isn’t adding up,” he thought out loud.
Lieutenant (J.G) Simon Starr, CoS
She lay face down on the deck still in the eva suit with the helmet removed A tricorder scan would indicate.
. The inhibitor showed up in her system and was doing it’s job. Traces of a long lasting pill form inhibitor in her system were
Still at a viable dosage and theupper dermal layers of her skin retained traces of a secondary likely lotion based inhibitor.
Actual injuries included extens ive bruising, two cracked ribs, and and a fractured cheekbone with visible bruising consistant with a
A blow. All the injuries were 3 days old. Her being unconcious was exhaustion from 3 days of painful breathing a liquids only diet the suit could provide and emotion stress from what must of been constant fear as indicated by her blood and brain chemistry.
She of course smelled like 3 days of sweating in a eva suit. Though given the amount of inhibitor in her system and headache a woman might feel near her was likely a psychosomatic responce to expecting to feel a headache rather than anything actually caused by pheremones.Ensign Ranlei. Engineering.
“I can treat her here or in sickbay. the injuries are not life threatening but there still pretty serious.” Trax commented softly to the others as he dealt with her pain and discomfort. As he administered a hpo spray for the pain. Which will make her rest comfortably. Lets get her to sickbay as he carefully and gently picked her up and placed her onto a grav sled and to get her to sickbay where he could deal with the injuries with more ease and convenience. As he pushed the grave sled down the corridor towards sickbay.
After getting her to sickbay and transferred her to the bio bed as the readings started to come through the system. The readings basically confirmed the scans from his tricorder. The inhibitor was doing its job effectively. There was extensive bruising all over her body especially around here mid section and check bone areas. Two cracked ribs and broken Cheekbone. The injuries were roughly three days old maybe four. She has been on a liquid diet for at least three days as well from the suit she was wearing. Her blood scans and brain scans revealed trauma from long periods of stress. But Trax could tell it was more emotional in nature as he felt fear from her. But he did not attempt to probe deeper with his mind. He noted she would need a proper sponge bath to restore her feeling more herself. He did not add that part to the log.
Trax dealt with her wounds and repaired her to full health. Using his arsenal of tools to help repair her as he grabbed a bone knitter and repaired the ribs then the cheekbone or Jaw areas then using the dermal regenerator to repair the bruising and scars from the repairs to the bone areas to show no signs of the damage other than a tenderness for a bit. But the more emotional stressor might have to be dealt with by a counselor. As he tapped a fresh hypospray to her neck to wake her up from her unexpected sleep. As he saw her coming to he gave a bit of distance so she would not be scared or at least he hoped. “Your safe please stay calm. I am Dr. Trax Suder I am the Chief Medical Officer on the Ark Angel. I healed your wounds and injuries.” Trax said professionally and softly to her hoping not to startle her.
Lt Jg. Doctor Trax Suder - CMO
Ranlei woke out of a fogginess feeling disassociated and confused. She blinked at a unfamiliar ceiling, the voice shook some of the grogginess from her, “safe, calm” she repeated. Then blinked harder took a deep breath and blinked again and exhaled with a emotional shudder. She turned her head towards the voice and then took in the blue uniform. “Ensign Ranlei. Serial number 7439810. Starfleet Engineering corps”, she said in a thick Germanic accent. Whatever had happened she didn’t know where she was or why she was here, or who these people were. The Academy was full of stories of races that could make you see anything they wanted. Why such a soecies might want her was beyond her. But waking up bound and trapped in a exa suit made no sence either when all she could remeber was going to a bar with friends then captivity, terror and pain.
Thinking6 about it brought the fear to the surface and she started to hyperventilate.Ensign Ranlei. Engineering 7439810.
“Ensign Please breath slowly an deeply that will help your breathing.” Trax commented quickly. “I am Doctor Trax Suder CHief medical Officer you’re aboard the USS Ark Angel. You are safe here and sound here. And you will be a bit tender for a few days but all of your Bones are repaired and the bruising is gone. all the odd scars are gone too.” As he placed the tricorder and the hypospray down hoping that would calm her fears. Trax would look up her serial number to check the current status of her record and files to see if she was listed as missing or dead. He would update them and contact Starfleet of the news that she is alive and well now to inform her family and friends.
he waited patiently and quietly to see what she was going to do next. “If your hungry the replicator is right over there please help yourself to some food and drink.” Trax offered her.Lt Jg. Trax Suder - CMO
Simon joined Trax as they headed to sickbay. He still wasn’t sure what was going on here, and didn’t want to take any chances. When they arrived and the orion woke up, and began quoting the serial number Simon’s ears perked up. Checking the report of an engineer that didn’t report for duty aboard the Ark Angel, the numbers and information matched. As Trax looked up the serial number, Simon pulled out his own PaDD with the AWOL officer who seems to match the description and serial number. “I think I know who this is,” he told Trax. “We had a report of a engineering officer that didn’t report for duty, looks like now we know why. I won’t bother her now, just going to introduce myself and let the chief know she’s in your capable hands,” Simon said with a smile.
“Welcome aboard, sorry about the welcome - we were told this was a prisoner transfer. That’s contractors for you. My name is Lieutenant (J.G) Simon Starr, Chief of Security aboard the Federation Starship USS Ark Angel. I will admit, the welcoming committee isn’t usually this rough. So, when you feel better, you can report in to Engineering, then you and I will need to have a talk about what happened. I’ll let Lieutenant Emmet know you finally arrived. But for now, I’m sure the doctor will want you to get some rest. You’ve had a rough few days by the looks of things,” he said in a very southern british accent akin to a farmer.
Simon then turned to Trax. “I had a report come in today of a new officer that didn’t report for duty, serial numbers match. Say hello to one of our new Engineers,” he said with a smile just before tapping his commbadge.
=/\=Lieutenant Paron to Lieutenant Emmet, I think we found your missing Engineer, sir - she’s receiving treatment in Sickbay. When you’ve finished with her, I’ll want to talk about her journey here, seems it wasn’t pleasent.=/\=
Turning back to the doctor Simon nods. “If you are still wary about that thing we talked about, I can wait until the Chief Engineer arrives before departing, the Security team are still by the door either way. Your choice,” he offered. “Otherwise, I’ll leave this in your capable hands and let Lieutenant Emmet take things from here,” he concluded, suggesting that if his services were no longer required he would dismiss himself from Sickbay.
Lieutenant (J.G) Torias Paron, CoS
OOC: Well that’s certainly one way to make an entrance :P great first posts :) Also, merging threads as I noticed that me and the doc were writing at the same time :P
Ben=^= Emmitt here, thank goodness .. I was wondering what happened when they didn’t show up! I’ll head to Sickbay now! =^=
He was currently fiddling with some components in his office, but immediately discarded his attention from them and dashed out the door. “Rodriguez, you’re in charge until I get back! Make sure those those level 3 diagnostics are complete!” A rather distant ‘Yes chief!’ could be heard off in the distance near the warp core.
Chris B-lined it towards medical. Trax was always attentive and was confident they were in good hands, but a bit of his concern lingered. A missing Starfleet Officer was never a good thing and he wondered what could have happened between their assignments. As he entered, everyone appeared to be in fairly good health, but with everyone crowded around, it was hard to tell what was going on. “Did .. I miss anything ..? Where’s our Engineer ..?”
Lt. Chris Emmitt (CE)
Ranlei was on the biobed being treated when the CE showed up. Starr had told her this was the Ark Angel. Which meant this was her new home. And the man asking after a Engineer would be her new commander. She tried to sit up. Gasped as her ribs disagreed with the motion and fell back onto the biobed. The doctor likely had a few choice words for her.
She caught her breath and looked at Lt. Emmitt. “Sorry sir. Ranlei. Ensign. Engineering corps. Assigned to you on USS Ark Angel. Reporting in sir. I regret sir that I am presently unfit for duty. I regret sir that I can not explain why I am unfit at this time.”, she didn’t sound normal to her ears. There was a note of hysteria. And she felt that a worse first impression was likely impossible.
Ensign Ranlei. Engineer.
He shook his hands quickly in dismissal in front of him. “Stop, stop , stop, stop! It’s quite alright! As long as you’re okay, any sort of duty can wait.” Chris probably appeared more worse for worry than she was at her own injuries, mostly since he didn’t know the extent of them and didn’t want any unnecessary additional injuries to occur. “Just lay there and let Trax make sure you’re patched up, you’re definitely in good hands with him.” He looked around a bit, still not quite knowing the whole story. “Perhaps our Security Chief might know, but .. if you don’t mind me asking Ensign Ranlei, what all happened ..?”
Lt. Chris Emmitt (CE)
