Jasmijn entered the bridge in the following minutes, two cups of coffee in her hands. “Coffee, Captain?” She offered, despite being unsure of the Captain’s preference to drink. It was an on-the-whim decision on her way to the bridge, but she trusted the liquid energy could do them some good. After all, the excitment of embarking on a new mission got the heart pumping, but that energy was bound to run out.

”..I’ll pass on the coffee, never sat well with me usually. But thank you commander.” She said.

“I’ll have the last of the system reports in within the next minute, Captain.” Tenzing called out from his station. The Operations Chief tapped his comm badge and called out for one of his Junior Officers.

=^= Lieutenant Philips, you’re needed on the Bridge. =^= Lieutenant Commander Trainor was hoping to give the young Lieutenant a chance to prove himself by sticking him at one of the auxiliary stations for the time being. With a seasoned crew around him, Tenzing felt they were experiencing more curiosity and excitement over nervousness.

Kara nodded from the science station. “Science reports ready Captain,” she replied as she double checked all sensors were working at peak efficiency.

“Lt. Philips reporting as ordered, sir. Where is my post at?”

As the call came in, it was Simon’s first mission as the Chief of Security on the ship, giving himself one more check over with his new pips, and tapped his commbadge =/\=On my way, Captain, Security ready for departure.=/\= Watching the final part of the message he sent to his parents before leaving just finishing sending as he entered the turbolift to the bridge.

“Stand over at auxiliary one and assist science with sensor readings, Lieutenant.” Trainor said. The Chief of Operations turned to gesture towards the console he was speaking of. “Ship systems are at peak efficiency, Captain!” Tenzing called out.

“If you need anything Philips, just let me know.” The young Lieutenant Commander added.

“Yes sir.” Philips said as he headed the auxiliary controls. “Understood sir.”

”..Lieutenant Phillips cue our request for departure to starbase 243. Helm once we receive it take us out on thrusters. Once we clear the dock way angle us out of the system and go to warp 5 for UEP-116 and engage..” Drudoc said.

“Sir, request for departure has been confirmed. Sending same to helm.” Philips said as he heard the engines going on thrusters.

Kara studied the newcomer with interest as he took up the station next to her. She leaned over and extended her hand. “Lt (jg) Kara, chief science officer, welcome aboard,” she said quietly as they shook hands.
