Lt. JG Stu Philips walks to his chief of operations and says, “Lt. Stu Philips reporting for duty, sir.”

After meeting with his chief of Ops, Philips then reported to his station on the bridge.

OOC: Hey Philip welcome aboard! Just remember to post in past tense. Look at my reply as an example.

IC: Tenzing made sure that his new section chief had some bridge time while they were underway to begin a new assignment. It wasn’t every day that a starship was assigned to deep space, and the Operations Chief knew well enough what could happen so far away from home.

“How are you settling in?” Lieutenant Commander Trainor asked as he approached his new Junior Officer.

“Well sir, the ship’s a lot bigger than I expected, but I’m settling in just fine.” Philips said. “The Ops section is pretty easy to figure out. I do like to be in Ops, to make sure things run smoothly on a ship like this.”

“Big ship means more to do.” Tenzing replied glancing over at the controls. “You wouldn’t be here if you couldn’t handle the responsibility.” With that said, Trainor tapped the man on the shoulder and disappeared into the nearest turbolift. They had a lot of work to do, and so little time to get it done.
