“That’s reasonable.” Tal smiled, leaning back in her chair. Contemplating Simon, she scaled her mental notes of him. He was a responsible man, from what she could tell. His file did not denote anything concerning, and his demeanor was friendly. She could see no reason why the Ark Angel would have any concerns with his assignment to their ship. “As much as I love chatting with new officers, I wouldn’t want to be keeping you from more important things.. because, let’s face it–there a much more important things to endeavor than this.” She chuckled, signing off on the digital file she’d been sent. “Ensign Starr, you’re cleared for duty.”

“If you need anything, until and after a new counselor is assigned to the Ark Angel, don’t hesitate to send me a communique or request a transmission. We’re sectors from each other, but my comms are always open for anyone who needs them.” She assured, “It was a pleasure meeting you, Ensign.”

“Likewise, Doctor. I’ll be sure to remember that, thank you for doing this for me, I know it isn’t part of your official duties and you didn’t have to. I will get in contact if the need arises, thank you, doctor.” Starr said before standing up and stepping out of the room. He looked to see if the XO was still waiting outside for him to finish in the office, or if she had given up waiting for the evaluation to be over and got back to work herself.

The XO had since departed from the area, her duties calling from her vigil. If Simon were carrying his PaDD, he might notice a new communique had popped up. Should he, at any point, choose to read over it, he would find it addressed as followed:

[Ensign Starr,

Welcome aboard the Ark Angel. I apologise for my departure, but duties called. Should you need any further assistance, whether today or in the future, my information is as stated below. Do not hesitate to contact me regardless of the time or event.

Simon looked down at his PaDD when he noticed the communique and read the message. Noticing the attachment, he opened up to see what the attachment contained.

The attachment had a list of her contact information, should he ever require assistance. Additionally, there was a digital map of the ship in case he needed a little extra help. Jasmijn didn’t fancy empathy, believing it uncharacteristic to her nature. Although that human half did beg otherwise, and so did this communique.
