Charlotte remained at her station, watching the Pathfinder’s telemetry stabilize across the tactical display as the tractor beam maintained its connection with the displaced vessel. The situation was still precarious, but for the first time since the operation began, the recovery effort was moving according to plan. She turned toward Captain T’Nara.
“Captain, Pathfinder has acknowledged the extraction protocol and is holding position. Their engineering department is monitoring their temporal shielding and tractor interface, so at least we’re now working with a cooperative vessel rather than trying to pull an unwilling ship out of the anomaly.”
Charlotte glanced back toward the sensor display.
“I recommend we keep the tractor field at the lowest effective power necessary to maintain the connection. If the anomaly is already reacting to the field, increasing power unnecessarily could destabilize the temporal envelope around Pathfinder.”
Her attention shifted briefly toward the medical readouts.
“I’m also having Sickbay prepare for the possibility of temporal exposure. We don’t know what four hours inside Pathfinder’s frame of reference while one hundred and four years have passed externally has done to their crew biologically. Even if their shipboard environment appears normal, I don’t want anyone assuming that normal sensor readings mean normal physiology.”
Charlotte looked back to T’Nara.
“Once Pathfinder clears the anomaly, I want the crew kept aboard their ship initially unless there’s an immediate medical emergency. We’ll establish a medical scan protocol first, then determine whether anyone requires transfer to the Ark Angel.”
She paused before continuing.
“And Captain, I’d recommend we maintain the communications channel with Captain Hayes throughout the extraction. She’s understandably concerned about her crew and her ship. Giving her continuous status updates will help keep the Pathfinder bridge calm and prevent anyone from making an unnecessary move during the most dangerous portion of this operation.”
Charlotte’s expression became more focused as another fluctuation appeared on the temporal telemetry.
“We’ve got one chance to get them through this without making the situation worse. Engineering controls the tractor, Science monitors the anomaly, Operations manages the extraction profile, and Medical handles whatever happens to the crew afterward.”
She gave T’Nara a firm nod.
“Whatever PX-941 throws at us next, we’ll deal with it. Right now, Captain, our job is simple.”
Her eyes returned to the Pathfinder.
“Get them out alive.”

USS Ark AngelGM UPDATE — LISTENING POST 47
The image on the main viewer shifted from the distorted telemetry surrounding the USS Pathfinder to the unmistakable figure of Admiral Robert T. Walter, Commander of Starfleet Operations Division. The admiral stood rigidly before the camera, his salt-and-pepper undercut and distinctive Wyatt Earp-style mustache framing an expression that offered little room for argument. His deep, rough-edged baritone carried across the Ark Angel’s bridge as he addressed Captain T’Nara directly.
“Captain T’Nara, Vice Admiral Vance, first off, Commodore James has informed me of the progress. However, we now have a situation that requires immediate action. The tractor beam from the Ark Angel has damaged the Pathfinder’s temporal shielding to the point that the vessel is no longer considered safely recoverable. Your second away team has one hour to retrieve the Pathfinder’s crew and bring them aboard the Ark Angel. Once the crew is aboard, the Pathfinder is to be scuttled. We cannot allow that vessel, in its current condition, to remain in this sector.”
Walter paused, his expression remaining controlled as he delivered the remainder of the order. “Vice Admiral Vance, the moment the Ark Angel confirms that the Pathfinder’s crew has been recovered, Commodore James will transport you and your personnel to the USS Thunder Valley. I want both ships out of that sector before the Pathfinder is destroyed. You have one hour to complete the evacuation. Captain T’Nara, Vice Admiral Vance—am I clear?”WHITE TIGER

“Where Legends Begin”She doesn’t disobey orders. “Yes sir.” She replied. She then ends the coms. “Well Vance. He says 1 hour. I’ll do better than that. If we can extract them get them out of there. Have them on board the Ark Angel, we can then be able to my medical team to work on them. Note, that once that happens, the Ark Angel will then shoot a couple of Photon Torpedoes and warp out of the sector and meet up with the Thunder Valley after that.” She told Vance.
Captain T’Nara
Commanding Officer
USS Ark Angel“Agreed, Captain T’Nara,” Vance replied, his posture straightening as he accepted the tactical directive with the seasoned resolve of an officer accustomed to rapid deployment.
He reached over to tap the command interface set into the armrest of his command chair, opening a ship-wide channel across the entire installation. His voice carried a commanding, measured cadence that echoed through every corridor and compartment of Listening Post 47.“This is Vice Admiral Marcus Vance to all personnel assigned to Listening Post 47. By executive order, all personnel are to secure their stations, gather essential personal effects, and prepare for immediate evacuation. That is all. Vance out.”
He severed the channel with a sharp tap of his finger and immediately pivoted toward the operations station, his gaze locking onto the duty officer.
“Cortez, sound general evacuation and Red Alert.”
.Ensign Hector Cortez’s fingers danced across the LCARS interface, her hands moving with the practiced rhythm of an officer who had drilled emergency procedures until they were second nature. The steady hum of routine operations vanished beneath the sudden, sharp strobe of red alert klaxons, casting long, crimson shadows across the bridge bulkheads as the resonant, rhythmic wail of the evacuation sirens echoed through the deck plates.“General evacuation protocol initiated, Admiral,”
Cortez reported, her voice cutting cleanly through the cacophony of alarms while her eyes tracked the cascading status feeds on her display. “Internal force fields are cycling to compartmentalize non-essential sections, and automated routing has cleared priority transit corridors leading directly to the primary and secondary transporter pads. All hands are moving to their assigned muster stations.”

“Where Legends Begin”The viewscreen of Listening Post 47 shimmered as the incoming transmission established a secure channel. The static cleared, revealing the bridge of the USS Thunder Valley, its command center illuminated by the muted glow of tactical displays and navigation readouts. At the center of the image stood Commodore Kyle James, one hand resting casually against the edge of the command chair as he studied the station through the transmission.
For a moment, James said nothing. His expression was composed, though the concern behind his eyes was unmistakable. He had clearly been following the operation closely, and whatever information had reached him had not been sufficient to satisfy Starfleet Command.
“Captain T’Nara,” James said at last, his voice carrying the measured authority of a senior Starfleet officer rather than the urgency of someone looking for an excuse to interfere. “I’m aboard the Thunder Valley, and we’ve taken up a position just outside the operational perimeter of Listening Post 47. My tactical officer tells me your station’s sensor picture has become considerably more complicated since the Pathfinder away team entered the field.”
James glanced briefly toward one of the bridge displays before looking back toward the viewscreen.
“I’ve been receiving intermittent telemetry from the station, but the information coming through has been fragmented. I understand your people have encountered conditions that are making communications and sensor penetration difficult, which is precisely why I’m calling you directly rather than relying upon another automated report.”
He paused, allowing the statement to settle before continuing.
“What I need from you is a current assessment of the away team’s situation. Where are they now, what have they found, and how confident are you that they’re still operating within the parameters of the mission?”
James’s expression tightened slightly.
“The Pathfinder has been missing for years, Captain. If your people have finally located something connected to that ship, I don’t intend to have them disappear into the same mystery simply because we were too cautious about asking the right questions.”
He moved away from the command chair and folded his hands behind his back, maintaining his attention on T’Nara.
“The Thunder Valley is standing by to provide whatever assistance you require, but I’m not going to put another starship into an unstable temporal environment without understanding what we’re dealing with. If the away team requires extraction, additional personnel, medical support, or simply a ship capable of putting some distance between them and whatever they’ve encountered, you need only tell me.”
A faint, almost imperceptible smile crossed James’s face.
“Starfleet didn’t send me all the way out here to admire the view, Captain.”
His expression returned to its usual seriousness.
“So, give me the truth as you understand it. What is happening to your away team?”

“Where Legends Begin”She heard the voice. “With all due respect admiral, I have a promise to keep. I am the mission commander here. My away team is very well aware of the mission and my orders. They know what to do. Unless you’re here to relieve me. Besides, I have given the late Admiral Archer that I’ll bring the ship and crew home no matter how long it’ll take me.” She replied.

Gibbs, at the joined Science stations on Outpost 47, continued to monitor Pathfinder’s detrimental news. Listening in to the messages between Captain T’Nara and Admiral ‘poking his nose in.’ He suspected he would be in hot water with his Department Head over his error, but there seems to be no time for that. Keeping to the chain of Command he addressed his question to his next senor officer.
“Commander Kelley, Permission to access a shuttle from Outpost 47 to assist evacuation of Pathfinder. I’m not the best shuttle pilot but I can get from point A to point B.”
