The final remnants of the transporter beam dissipated across the transporter platform of Listening Post 47, leaving the away team standing within the aging but fully operational transporter chamber of the remote Starfleet facility. For a moment, the room was filled only with the quiet sounds of the station’s systems returning to their normal operating rhythm. The transporter emitters powered down with a low resonance, indicator lights shifting from active transport status back to standby. Unlike the sleek, advanced transporter facilities aboard the USS ArkAngel, Listening Post 47 reflected its purpose as a long-term deep-space installation. The room carried the unmistakable character of a facility designed for endurance rather than comfort—functional consoles, reinforced bulkheads, and older Starfleet LCARS interfaces that had clearly served countless years of continuous operation.
The transporter console beside the platform displayed the completed transfer confirmation, verifying the successful arrival of the USS ArkAngel away team. Lieutenant Nathaniel Grey stood at the station controls, reviewing the final transport readings and ensuring the connection between the listening post and the starship had remained stable throughout the process.
Near the edge of the transporter room stood Lieutenant Commander Franklin Von Erich, First Officer and Chief of Security of Listening Post 47. His uniform carried the signs of someone who had spent considerable time aboard the remote installation, but his posture remained unmistakably Starfleet—alert, disciplined, and professional.
As the transporter sequence fully concluded, Von Erich stepped forward to greet the arriving officers.
“Captain T’Nara, welcome to Listening Post 47. You and your team are expected.”
He briefly glanced toward the corridor leading deeper into the station before continuing.
“Commander Vance is waiting for you on the bridge. He has been overseeing the station’s operations and is prepared to brief you on the situation.”
Lieutenant Grey remained at the transporter console, completing his final checks before turning his attention toward the arriving Starfleet personnel. Around them, Listening Post 47 continued its silent vigil, the remote facility maintaining its watch over the unknown conditions that had brought the USS ArkAngel to its location.
Beyond the transporter room doors, the station’s corridors stretched ahead, leading toward the command center and the answers waiting there.

USS Ark AngelLieutenant Commander Franklin Von Erich gave a brief nod before turning toward the exit of the transporter room. The doors parted with a soft hiss, revealing the corridor beyond.
“Of course, Captain.”
Von Erich moved with the practiced efficiency of a senior Starfleet officer, leading the way through the corridors of Listening Post 47. The station bore the unmistakable character of a facility built for endurance and constant vigilance. Unlike the sleek corridors of a modern starship, the passageways were narrower, with reinforced bulkheads, older LCARS panels, and subtle signs of years spent maintaining a remote outpost at the edge of Federation space.
As they walked, the quiet hum of the station’s environmental systems and power conduits surrounded them. Crew members moved purposefully through the corridors, offering respectful acknowledgments as the Starfleet visitors passed. The arrival of the USS ArkAngel’s away team was clearly an important event for a facility accustomed to long periods of isolation.
Lieutenant Nathaniel Grey followed alongside the group, carrying a PADD containing updated station reports and recent operational information. His attention remained focused on the officers ahead as they continued toward the command section.
The route from the transporter room gradually transitioned into the heart of the listening post. Ahead, the turbolift doors waited, leading toward the upper levels of the station where the bridge and command operations were located.
Von Erich stopped at the lift entrance and entered the command sequence.
“Bridge,” he stated.
The doors opened, revealing the lift interior as the station continued its silent watch beyond the walls.

USS Ark AngelAs the turbolift began its ascent toward the command levels of Listening Post 47, the quiet hum of the lift’s systems filled the confined space. The station’s older technology was evident even here, the familiar Starfleet design blended with the practical modifications of a facility that had spent years operating far from immediate support.
Lieutenant Commander Franklin Von Erich remained composed as he stood beside the away team, his attention briefly shifting toward the station displays before returning to the conversation.
The question drew his focus, and the First Officer considered his response carefully. The situation surrounding Listening Post 47 was not one that could be summarized casually, and the station’s recent events had required the full attention of the command staff.
“The short answer, Captain, is that we encountered something we were not expecting,” Von Erich began.
He paused briefly, choosing his words with the caution of someone responsible for both the station and its crew.
“Listening Post 47 detected unusual readings consistent with a temporal disturbance in the surrounding region. At first, we believed it was a sensor anomaly or a fluctuation caused by the local environment. However, the readings continued to develop, and the data indicated something far more complex.”
Von Erich glanced toward Lieutenant Grey, then back toward the captain.
“Commander Vance can provide the full sensor analysis and operational timeline once we reach the bridge. He has been coordinating the investigation since the initial discovery.”
The turbolift continued upward as the station’s command center drew closer.
“What we can confirm is that the phenomenon is unlike anything this facility has recorded before, and we requested assistance because further analysis required resources beyond what a listening post was designed to provide.”

“Where Legends Begin”Commander Charlotte Kelley listened carefully as Lieutenant Commander Von Erich explained the situation. She remained quiet for a moment, allowing the information to settle as the turbolift continued its steady ascent toward the command levels of Listening Post 47.
The mention of a temporal disturbance immediately drew her attention. Her expression remained composed, but her focus sharpened as she considered the potential implications of an unknown chronometric event.
Kelley glanced briefly toward the turbolift display before returning her attention forward.
“That explains the urgency behind the request for assistance,” she said calmly. “A temporal phenomenon of this nature requires more than a remote analysis. Direct observation and complete sensor data will be essential before any conclusions can be reached.”
She paused briefly, considering the situation from both a command and medical perspective.
“Once we reach the bridge, I would like to review the available reports, sensor logs, and any personnel records related to the initial discovery. Any exposure to unusual temporal effects needs to be carefully documented.”
Kelley maintained her professional composure as the turbolift continued toward the command section of the station.
“Understanding the sequence of events will be critical. The timeline of what occurred may provide the answers we need.”

Commander Vance, a seasoned officer whose standard Starfleet uniform bore the subtle creases of extended duty shifts and whose demeanor reflected the immense pressure of commanding a remote outpost during an unprecedented crisis, turned away from the central tactical plotting table to formally acknowledge the arrival of the USS ArkAngel’s senior staff.
The veteran commander offered a respectful nod to Captain T’Nara before immediately directing his attention to Commander Kelley, his expression conveying a profound sense of relief that the starship’s highly specialized medical and scientific personnel were finally on-site to assist with the escalating temporal anomaly.
Without hesitation, Vance tapped a rapid sequence of commands into the primary LCARS interface, authorizing a direct subspace data transfer that instantly populated Charlotte’s personal padd with the station’s complete environmental telemetry, detailed sensor logs spanning the initial chronometric displacement, and the preliminary biological scans of the listening post’s crew.
”Commander Kelley, Captain T’Nara, your arrival could not have been timed more perfectly, as the immediate space surrounding the displaced vessel is actively experiencing extreme chronological decay and unpredictable time dilation waves that require advanced scientific and medical scrutiny. While our engineering teams have successfully recalibrated the station’s deflector grids to project a rudimentary temporal shield and protect our personnel from ambient chroniton radiation, the phenomena outside our bulkheads is continuing to destabilize at an alarming rate.”
Gesturing toward the main viewscreen, which currently displayed a highly complex, multidimensional visual representation of the swirling spatial distortion, Commander Vance proceeded to elaborate on the exact nature of the mysterious vessel that had materialized out of the subspace rupture. The optical sensors, struggling against the intense chroniton interference that was simultaneously wreaking havoc on standard communications and long-range subspace frequencies, had finally managed to pierce the localized interference field to reveal the scarred, severely degraded hull of a Starfleet vessel bearing a design lineage that had been officially retired from active service over a century ago.”Although internal bio-scans are indeed registering faint, rhythmic life signs beneath the ship’s failing structural integrity field, the trapped crew appears to be suspended in a dangerous state of temporal stasis, making conventional hailing attempts entirely futile and posing an extraordinary biomedical challenge should a physical extraction operation be authorized. The entirety of Listening Post 47’s surviving resources and personnel stand at your absolute disposal to execute whatever strategic investigations or emergency triage protocols you deem necessary to resolve this unfolding crisis.”

“Where Legends Begin”She looked at him. “Commander Vance I appreciate the warm welcome. But our mission is to make sure we get that ship back in one piece. Starfleet command has told me to not have the crew nor the ship treated as if they are history. If the crew on that ship is still alive I’d like to send another away team in EV suits on over. Take a shuttle craft and for us to work here. I know as the commanding officer of one starship and you commander of this outpost, you must know the risks of command and those under you. However, my first officer would also agree as well. And before you object to it commander I am the first commanding officer that is a Vulcan on a starship. Sometimes I consider the idea of humans superior to us Vulcans is quite illogical sometimes. But I will say that having a second away team goes over to that ship, and investigate in EV suits. Surely you can’t disagree on that commander?” She said as she was speaking very logical on her point of view of which is to happen.
Captain T’Nara

USS Ark AngelOlly stared at the old ship on the viewscreen. It was disconcerting to see the state of it and he wondered what all the crew had been through. They were still far enough away that his senses wouldn’t be able to reach the occupants of the ship but he was sure they would come in handy if they were able to get closer.
He turned to the CO, surprised at her comment of being the first Vulcan CO on a starship. Perhaps he had just misheard her. He cleared his throat, “Captain, are we certain EV suits would protect us from the chroniton radiation? I think that would take some heavy modifications and maybe even recalibrated personal shields or something. It seems risky to me to be sending actual personnel over to that ship. Maybe we could get some kind of probe through first and try to make contact that way?”
Lieutenant Commander Ezeami - COS
She looked at him with a perk of an ear. “Very well. We can have a probe out. But we must have the second away party ready to go over just in case. Contact the ship, have engineering start on the modifications right away. Tell Mr. Storm that we will stay here on the listening post. I wanted to make sure that everyone is able to do something.” She replied.

USS Ark AngelLieutenant Commander Charlotte Kelley regarded Captain T’Nara for a moment before giving a small, thoughtful nod. “I agree, Captain. Everyone aboard this ship has a purpose, and sometimes it isn’t immediately obvious what that purpose will be until the moment comes when we need them.”
She glanced briefly toward the main viewscreen before continuing. “As officers, we have a responsibility to make certain our people understand that. A crew member doesn’t have to be sitting at a senior officer’s station to make a difference. Sometimes the most important contribution comes from the person working quietly in the background, doing their job properly when nobody is watching.”
Kelley folded her hands behind her back, her expression settling into the calm professionalism that had become characteristic of her. “If we give our people the confidence to recognize their own value, Captain, then we aren’t simply commanding a crew. We’re building a team capable of adapting when circumstances inevitably change.”
She offered T’Nara a faint smile.
“And considering the sort of situations this ship seems to find itself in, I suspect adaptability is going to be one of our most valuable resources.”

Having heard Commander Vance’s statement that the sensors of Outpost 47 were available for use. Gibbs stepped forward and asked Commander Kelly, “May I take a seat at the science station? I have a theory why we might be unable to break through the chronometric interference, and I would like to test my theory”.
Gibbs had a hunch that maybe there was more than one chronometric event taking place around the Pathfinder. He needed to access the station’s sensors and maybe a member of the stations team to ensure that his sensor use did not overload the system.Ensign Gibbs, Sci JO
USS Ark Angel“I will have one of the junior security officers ready to join the second away team, but I’d really love to have some information from that probe first so I know what I’m sending them into,” Ollie said as professionally as he could. He knew any of his team would be ready to jump at the mission but the reports of the heavy chroniton radiation were very concerning.
Lieutenant Commander Ezeami - COS
Charlotte tapped the interface of her personal Starfleet padd, her eyes rapidly scanning the dense cascades of environmental telemetry and preliminary biological scans that Commander Vance had just transferred from the station’s primary mainframe. The realization that they were dealing with a century-old Starfleet vessel trapped in a localized state of temporal stasis presented a biomedical puzzle of unprecedented complexity, one that required meticulous attention to prevent the sudden onset of catastrophic cellular chroniton decay should the ship’s failing structural integrity field finally collapse.
Acknowledging Captain T’Nara’s delegation of the immediate operational response with a respectful nod, the Executive Officer swiftly pivoted her focus to coordinate the specialized talents of her assembled away team, ensuring that every scientific and tactical angle was properly addressed before they proceeded with any direct, physical intervention.
“Proceed to the primary science console, Ensign Gibbs, and coordinate your diagnostic efforts with the station’s operational personnel to ensure your sensor sweeps do not inadvertently destabilize the outpost’s localized power grid,”
Charlotte ordered, appreciating the junior officer’s proactive initiative in identifying the layered chronological interference preventing their scans. “If your hypothesis regarding multiple intersecting chronometric events proves correct, isolating the exact resonant frequency of those overlapping temporal distortions will be absolutely vital for both establishing a stable communications link and calculating a safe physical trajectory through the interference field.”
“Aye Aye, Sir.” Gibbs replied. Now with permission to test his theory, he took a seat next to the Stations bridge Science station. Accessing a separate viewscreen, he coordinated with the stations team. These sensors were specialized for long range detectability, and he was going to ask them to do something outside their scope.
Turning her attention toward the Chief of Security, Kelley offered a reassuring but professionally serious expression, fully validating his entirely rational hesitations regarding the extreme environmental hazards lingering just beyond the station’s protective deflector shielding.
“Your caution is precisely what this situation requires, Commander Ezeami, and I absolutely will not authorize any of our personnel to board that vessel until we have established a definitive safety baseline regarding those ambient chroniton radiation levels,” she assured him firmly, her extensive medical expertise driving her cautious, highly methodical approach to the potential deployment of a secondary extraction team. “Once Ensign Gibbs and the station’s science division manage to interpret the incoming probe telemetry, I will personally synthesize a tailored chroniton prophylactic regimen and outline the specific environmental suit requirements to guarantee that your security officers are fully shielded from the dangerous effects of localized time dilation before they step foot off this station.”

USS Ark AngelShe looked over at Commander Vance. “Commander please tell me what else is unusual of the vessel out there? From my reports it is the USS Pathfinder. To her, having any and all information is the most important thing that a Starfleet captain should receive.

USS Ark AngelBefore Commander Vance could respond to Captain T’Nara, a sharp priority alert sounded from the communications console.
Ensign Cortez immediately turned toward his station. A new transmission indicator had appeared across his display, accompanied by an encryption signature that was clearly not originating from Listening Post 47 or the ArkAngel. His expression changed as his fingers moved rapidly across the LCARS interface, verifying the transmission against Starfleet Command authentication protocols.
“Commander! Incoming from Starfleet Command!”
The words carried across the Operations Center. Several officers turned toward the communications station as Cortez continued working through the authentication sequence. Cascading authorization codes filled his display before the system finally returned its confirmation.
STARFLEET COMMAND AUTHORITY VERIFIED
SOURCE: STARFLEET COMMAND OPERATIONS DIVISION
SECURITY: PRIORITY ONE — COMMAND EYES ONLYCortez straightened in his chair.
“It’s a Command Authority message. Priority One encryption. Starfleet Command Operations.”
He glanced toward Commander Vance.
“It’s Admiral Archer. She’s requesting immediate visual communication.”
Vance gave the order without hesitation.
“On screen.”
The viewer flickered briefly before resolving into the command office of Starfleet Operations at Starfleet Headquarters. The Starfleet insignia stood prominently behind Admiral Erica Archer. Her expression was calm and professional, but there was an unmistakable seriousness in her eyes.
“Commander Vance, maintain your current position and continue monitoring the PX-941 phenomenon. I want every sensor reading, every fluctuation in the temporal field, and every transmission from the Pathfinder preserved and transmitted to Starfleet Command.”
Archer paused before continuing.
“Captain T’Nara and the ArkAngel are already committed to the rescue operation. Her away team is authorized to proceed with the investigation of the USS Pathfinder and establish contact with Captain Amelia Hayes and her crew.”
A stellar map of the Theta Persei Fringe appeared behind her.
“There is something Captain T’Nara needs to understand before she proceeds any further.”
The display shifted to the PX-941 system, highlighting the G-type star and its volatile white dwarf companion.
“The Pathfinder was not sent into this system to investigate a temporal anomaly. In 2398, she was conducting an extended cartographic survey of the Theta Persei Fringe, specifically studying the gravitational interaction between the primary star and its white dwarf companion. The system had already been identified as scientifically significant because of the periodic gravitational distortions and localized subspace instability produced by that interaction.”
Archer brought another image onto the display, showing the developing distortion within the binary system.
“During the survey, Pathfinder’s science team detected something unprecedented. A naturally occurring inversion in subspace appeared to be temporarily stabilizing the gravimetric shear generated by the binary system. Captain Hayes believed it represented a significant opportunity to gather data that could advance Starfleet’s understanding of subspace and temporal mechanics.”
The admiral’s expression became more serious.
“Captain Hayes made the decision to investigate.”
The display showed the Pathfinder moving toward the anomaly.
“The anomaly proved considerably less stable than their models indicated. The subspace pocket began collapsing, the gravitational resonance intensified, and what had appeared to be a scientific phenomenon rapidly became a temporal disturbance. The Pathfinder was caught inside it.”
A schematic of the Intrepid-class vessel’s deflector array appeared.
“In an attempt to save the ship, Chief Engineer Lieutenant Commander Mercer modified the main deflector to generate a localized temporal shielding field around the hull. The modification was unauthorized.”
Archer paused.
“It was also the reason the Pathfinder survived.”
The image changed again, showing the vessel isolated within the temporal distortion.
“The deflector field separated the Pathfinder from normal temporal space. For the crew inside that field, local time continued almost normally. Outside it, the galaxy continued moving forward.”
Archer looked directly toward the viewer.
“One hundred and four years passed.”
The Operations Center fell silent.
“For Captain Hayes and her crew, however, only approximately four hours have passed since the incident.”
Archer allowed the significance of that statement to settle before continuing.
“Captain Hayes does not know she has been missing for 104 years. She does not know Starfleet has changed. She does not know that many of the people she knew may have been dead for generations. As far as she is concerned, she made a dangerous decision four hours ago and is still trying to save her ship.”
Her voice softened slightly.
“That is what Captain T’Nara needs to understand before establishing contact.”
Archer’s expression became firm again.
“Do not treat Captain Hayes as though she is a relic from the past. She is a Starfleet captain who believes she has just made the worst mistake of her career. The truth is going to be devastating.”
She paused before continuing.
“Captain T’Nara’s responsibility is not simply to tell Hayes that 104 years have passed. She must help Hayes understand that she and her crew are still Starfleet officers. They have not been abandoned. Starfleet has come for them.”
Archer looked toward the viewer for another moment.
“The Pathfinder went into PX-941 looking for scientific answers. Now we are going to bring her home.”
The admiral then returned to the operational orders.
“Captain T’Nara, your away team is ordered to proceed with the investigation of the Pathfinder. Establish contact with Captain Hayes. Determine the condition of the vessel and her crew. Assess the temporal shielding system and determine whether the ship can be safely extracted from the anomaly.”
Her expression hardened slightly.
“Do not attempt to dismantle the temporal field unless circumstances absolutely require it. We do not yet know what effect doing so could have on the Pathfinder, her crew, or the surrounding region.”
Another file appeared on the display.
USS THUNDER VALLEY
VENGEANCE-CLASS DREADNOUGHT
STARFLEET INTELLIGENCE“Starfleet Command is sending the USS Thunder Valley to reinforce the operation. Commodore Kyle James will be aboard with his team. The Thunder Valley is a Starfleet Intelligence dreadnought assigned to strategic intelligence, tactical response, and specialized recovery operations.”
Archer continued without hesitation.
“Once the Thunder Valley arrives, Commodore James will assume responsibility for the broader recovery operation and provide the additional engineering, medical, security, scientific, intelligence, and logistical resources required to recover the Pathfinder and her crew.”
She looked directly toward the viewer.
“That does not change your current authority, Captain. You remain Mission Commander until Commodore James arrives.”
Archer then turned her attention back toward Vance.
“Commander Vance, your station will continue supporting the ArkAngel. Maintain continuous sensor coverage of the anomaly and monitor the temporal field for any changes. Captain T’Nara is to be notified immediately of any significant fluctuation.”
There was a brief pause before Archer’s expression softened.
“And Commander, remember what we are dealing with.”
Her voice became quieter, but no less authoritative.
“The Pathfinder is not a derelict vessel. It is not an archaeological discovery. There are Starfleet officers aboard that ship who believe they are still living in 2398.”
Archer held Vance’s gaze through the viewer.
“They are not history. They are Starfleet.”
She gave a deliberate nod.
“Captain T’Nara, proceed with your investigation. Find Captain Hayes. Find her crew. Determine the condition of the Pathfinder, and bring them home. That is your mission.”
The transmission terminated.
For several moments, nobody in the Operations Center spoke. The main viewer returned to the standard Starfleet communications interface, leaving only the subdued glow of the LCARS consoles throughout the room.
Then the familiar sound of the Pathfinder’s distress signal returned.
Beep.
Another pulse followed several seconds later.
Beep.
The signal was remarkably consistent for a vessel that had disappeared from the Federation’s records for more than a century. Somewhere inside the unstable temporal distortion surrounding PX-941, Captain Amelia Hayes and the crew of the USS Pathfinder were still waiting for Starfleet to answer them, completely unaware of how much time had passed beyond their ship.
Now Starfleet had answered.
The ArkAngel was already committed to the rescue operation, and the Thunder Valley was on its way with additional resources. For the moment, however, the responsibility remained with Captain T’Nara and her away team. They would have to make first contact, assess the Pathfinder’s condition, and determine how to safely extract a starship whose crew still believed they were living in the year 2398.
The hardest part of the mission would not necessarily be reaching the Pathfinder. It would be convincing Captain Hayes that the impossible had happened without destroying her understanding of the world she knew.
For Hayes and her crew, only four hours had passed.
For everyone else, it had been 104 years.

USS Ark AngelT’Nara looked over at Kelley and Ezeami. “Since I am in command here until the Commodore arrives, I will take the suggestion into consideration of not sending my people in without knowing. However, logically, in my studies, whether it is a safe zone or not, I will say logically, that any away party still goes in and investigates the area with armed escort. With that being said, I still want a team to go over and investigate. We will have about,” looks at the console. “T-minus 40 minutes. Which means, they must investigate long enough for scans find the crew and hopefully be able to get the ship into the safe zone as possible, however, if failed to complete their mission, they will be ordered to return to Ark Angel. I don’t want our people to go through what that crew is going through.” She replied. “Logically Mr. Ezeami you will be correct about not sending an away team over. But not all scans can be done at long range hence the reason why I am sending out another away team to investigate while the probe still collects data. Do you think that it is logical? If not please do object. My feelings won’t be hurt as I do not use emotions.” She ended what she was saying and awaited to get word back from her officers.
Captain T’Nara
Commanding Officer
USS Ark Angel
Lieutenant Commander Charlotte Kelley carefully processed the profound strategic and psychological implications of Admiral Archer’s classified briefing, her extensive medical expertise immediately recognizing the catastrophic cognitive shock the crew of the USS Pathfinder would inevitably face upon learning their desperate four-hour struggle for survival had actually spanned more than a century. The admiral’s revelation fundamentally altered the core parameters of their rescue operation, shifting it from a standard hazard extraction to a highly delicate temporal triage scenario where the mental stability of Captain Hayes and her displaced crew would be just as fragile as their vessel’s failing structural integrity field. Maintaining her poised, distinctly professional demeanor amidst the escalating crisis, Charlotte mentally recalibrated her immediate operational priorities, seamlessly merging her administrative duties as the starship’s Executive Officer with the uncompromising biological safety requirements of a Chief Medical Officer preparing her personnel for an exceptionally hostile localized environment.
Turning her attention back to Captain T’Nara, the Executive Officer thoughtfully considered the Vulcan commanding officer’s unyielding determination to deploy a secondary away team, recognizing that passive remote sensor telemetry could never fully replace the tactical flexibility and nuanced situational assessment of Starfleet officers physically present on the deck. She offered a supportive but fiercely disciplined nod, fully prepared to stand behind the Captain’s operational decision while simultaneously enforcing the absolute biological and structural safeguards necessary to protect the USS ArkAngel’s boarding party from the volatile chronometric decay surrounding the century-old Intrepid-class starship.
“Your logic is entirely sound, Captain, and I fully support a physical investigation of the Pathfinder provided we rigidly enforce the forty-minute operational window you have established,” Charlotte replied, her tone projecting a calm yet unyielding authority regarding the overarching safety of their personnel. “To execute this delicate operation, I recommend we officially assemble Away Team Beta under the direct command of Lieutenant Izak Waryn, whose engineering expertise will be absolutely critical in assessing and stabilizing the Pathfinder’s failing temporal deflector modifications. He will be accompanied by Lieutenant Commander Soral T’Varan, whose diplomatic training is perfectly suited for managing the unprecedented psychological shock of first contact with a chronologically displaced crew, alongside Lieutenant Commander Spenn to handle the immediate biomedical triage, and Ensign Wyatt Blackford to provide a dedicated security escort through the highly unpredictable environmental conditions of that vessel.”
She glanced toward Commander Ezeami and Ensign Gibbs, ensuring that both the tactical and scientific divisions were entirely synchronized with her stringent medical directives before any personnel were permitted to board the designated shuttlecraft for the perilous crossing.
“Our boarding party must be meticulously briefed on specific psychological triage protocols before they depart, as they are not simply walking into a hazardous radiation zone; they are stepping into a confined time capsule, and any careless, unscripted revelation regarding the true stardate could easily trigger a localized panic that would severely compromise the extraction timeline,” she continued, systematically addressing the multi-layered hazards of their impending mission. “I am currently finalizing the chroniton prophylactic regimen for the team, and I will require our engineering staff to implement localized temporal shielding enhancements to all Class-4 Environmental Suits prior to their deployment. Ensign Gibbs, please continue monitoring that three-minute, fourteen-second cyclical pattern you just identified; if that temporal distortion fluctuates beyond our acceptable safety margins while Away Team Beta is aboard the Pathfinder, I need to know the precise microsecond we must initiate an emergency transport to pull our people back to safety.”
