“Very well, Commander Vance. We’ll be there shortly.” She said to Commander Vance. “Commander Kelley and Commander Ezeami, along with Ensign Gibbs, to Transporter Room 1 for beam over. We don’t want to have them waiting.” She ordered.
Charlotte Kelley rose from her station without hesitation, collecting her PADD before making her way toward the turbolift.
“Aye, Captain.”
She glanced briefly toward Commander Ezeami and Ensign Gibbs, giving each a professional nod.
“It looks like we’re about to get our first look at what Commander Vance has been dealing with. Let’s stay sharp and keep our eyes open. If there’s anything unusual aboard the station, we’ll assess it quickly and coordinate with their staff.”
Her tone was calm and confident, the voice of an experienced executive officer who understood the importance of setting the example. Turning back to the captain, she added, “Away team is ready when you are, Captain.”
With that, Kelley fell into step just behind Captain T’Nara as they entered the turbolift, bound for Transporter Room One.
Gibbs heard his name called and shut down the screen he was working on at the Science station, transferring the data to his PADD.
“Right Away, Commander” Gibbs replied following the others into the turbolift down to Transporter Room 1.Ensign Gibbs
The Chief Engineer smiled at Falz’s comment. The man was an engineer by trade himself and still liked to keep his hands busy. Izak figured he’d be very similar if he ever took a post in Operations on another ship.
It was actually nice to have somebody on the bridge with an engineering background. His department was tired of getting complaints like ‘The sensors don’t work right’ or ‘my console is acting funny’ from the bridge crew.
=/\=”Thanks, Lt Hegush… I’ll play nice with Science and Security as well. There’s more than enough sensor power to go around.” It was rare that engineering had a chance to utilize the sensors… the external ones at least. Their job was keeping the ship fully operational, and Lt Waryn decided that in this instance, it meant protecting it from whatever was going on in the anomaly.
The Chief Engineer’s fingers flew over the console’s buttons, trying to analyze any temporal markers and compare it to documented phenomenon.
OOC: Doing scans of the anomaly, primarily anything related to time dilation/time travel/ or other temporal mechanics. Only after that’s done will he compare it to the data the listening post sent over.
Lt Izak Waryn - Chief Engineer - U.S.S. Ark Angel
The ArkAngel’s sensor arrays responded to Lieutenant Waryn’s command, the engineering station feeding additional processing power into the analysis as the Chief Engineer narrowed the scan parameters. The initial readings returned were exactly what the crew had expected — unstable subspace interference, elevated chroniton emissions, and fluctuating temporal distortions surrounding Listening Post 47.
However, as the deeper scan completed, the data began to separate itself from the background noise.
The anomaly was not a simple tear in space-time.
The sensor display highlighted a repeating pattern.
A pulse moved through the affected region at regular intervals, briefly stabilizing portions of the surrounding subspace before the distortion returned. The cycle repeated with enough consistency that the computer was able to begin predicting the next fluctuation.
TEMPORAL OSCILLATION DETECTED
CYCLE INTERVAL: 00:03:14
As the scan continued, additional information began to populate across the engineering and science displays.
A secondary reading appeared.
Something had passed through the anomaly.
The computer isolated the residual signature from the surrounding interference, identifying traces of an artificial warp field embedded within the temporal distortion. The signature was old, damaged, and heavily degraded, but the pattern was unmistakably Federation.
A registry fragment appeared.

The computer paused briefly as it cross-referenced the information.
VESSEL MATCH FOUND
USS PATHFINDER
INTREPID-CLASS
The sensor returns confirmed what had previously only been theoretical.
The Pathfinder had not been destroyed.
It had been caught inside the temporal phenomenon.
Further scans revealed a localized temporal field surrounding the vessel’s last known position. The anomaly had effectively separated the starship from normal space-time, leaving behind only faint traces of its warp signature.
The readings were incomplete, but enough information was available to determine the situation.
The temporal field was still active.
And it was changing.
A new warning appeared as the sensors detected the anomaly beginning another cycle.
TEMPORAL SURGE PREDICTED
ESTIMATED TIME UNTIL PEAK FLUCTUATION: 03 HOURS, 47 MINUTES
During the surge, the anomaly would become more unstable — but the increased activity would also create a brief opportunity for deeper sensor penetration.
The final portion of the scan revealed one more detail.
A faint power signature.
Weak.
Intermittent.
But artificial.
The Pathfinder was still generating limited energy emissions from somewhere inside the temporal distortion.
The ArkAngel’s sensor sweep had provided the first clear answer in four years of searching.
The missing starship was not gone.
It was waiting.u
