Shortly after Becket had packed up everything in his quarters he went ahead and took a little stroll within the halls of the Ark Angel. Alex wasn’t sure what else to do but he thought that it would be the best choice and action to meet the new Junior officer.

He finally went back to the bridge and headed back to the ready room as his last final act as commanding officer. He tapped his combadge. =/\=”Ensign Gibbs when you can please report to the ready room.”=/\=

=/\= “Acknowledged Captain. I’m on my way.” =/\=

Gibbs rose up from his bed and put on a uniform shirt. Checking himself in the mirror and seeing some stray hairs, he first wetted, then took a comb through his hair to control any stray lochs. He brushed his uniform as he left his quarters on deck 41 and headed to the turbolift. As the doors closed, he closed his eyes and stated. “Bridge’.

Nothing happened. Gibbs looked around and tried again, “Bridge.” This time the turbolift replied, “Turbolift occupant not granted Bridge clearance. Unable to comply.”

Thinking back to his time familiarizing himself with the Mythology Class specs, he wanted to test a theory. “Deck 3”

The turbolift started to move at a brisk pace bringing him to Deck 3 in only a few moments. Gibbs walked until he found the XO’s office. He knew this place aboard the ship would always be manned by a senior NCO. “Hello. My name is Ensign Walter Gibbs.” He announced, “I recently transferred aboard and I received a request from Captain Becket to meet him in his ready room on Deck One. I do not yet have Deck One authorization. May I request temporary access?”

Gibbs tapped his communicator to play Captain Becket’s message to prove he had a genuine need. It didn’t take long, but soon he was granted a one-time authorization. Gibbs left the XO’s office returning to the Turbolift. This time he was successful and was able to reach the top of the ship, Deck One.
