Shortly after he got done with the counselor. He then headed to the turbolift for the final time. He had then gone in. “Engineering.” He said and the lift shut its doors and took off. The lift, as it was giving him the ride to engineering, he started to give him a little bit. He then later, stepped out of the turbolift as its doors slid open. He then went into engineering and found the Chief Engineer’s office. He then knocked on the door frame and waited to enter.

A Tellarite Crewman saw Ensig outside the CE’s office and moved to address him. “If you’re looking for the Chief Engineer, he’s not here. Try the phaser array access spaces up on Deck 8… he was helping a team overhaul several emitters up there.”

Up on Deck 8, Izak was sweaty, a bit grimy, and had a big grin on his face. Swapping out multiple phaser emitters was no small task, but it definitely granted a feeling of accomplishment when it was done.

Or almost done.

A grizzled crewman was powering up the array to conduct initial light-off testing. All two hundred emitters worked in concert, so if they hadn’t aligned the dozen they installed properly, they’d have to go back to the drawing board and reinstall them.

The veteran crewman grunted and gave the thumbs up, and the team immediately started slapping each other on the back and congratulating each other.

Izak smiled and climbed out of the access area. “Well done everybody.” He said he wiped his hands off on a rag. “Thank you for letting me help out… I hope I didn’t slow you down too much.”

The Chief Engineer looked young, maybe a couple of years out of the Academy. He was above average in height with an athletic build and dark greenish-gray eyes. The sleeves on his uniform were rolled up.

His medium-length blond hair was a side-swept undercut and a bit disheveled after working hard on the emitters. He also had faint nose ridges, though they were flatter and more ‘U’ shaped than a Bajoran’s.

That’s when Lt Waryn saw the new Ensign and raised his eyebrows. “Ensign Harmon, right? My apologies… things took a little longer than I expected.”

Izak extended his hand in greeting. “Do you mind if we start your check-in as we head back to my office?”

Mavis then begins to walk and follow Izak to his office for a check-in with Chief Engineer Izak is waryan.

Check in as soon as he steps into Izak’s office he sits and waits for Izak.
