OCC : Hello guys, Adrien here ! Real happy to be part of the crew.

IC : Brushing off the few creases remaining on his uniform, Ashir was walking fast across the corridor of the Ark Angel. As he had recently arrived, he had to navigate from what he had managed to memorize of the deck chart he had read an hour ago. Compared to the previous starship he served on, his new assignment was enormous. He had to say it was a miracle that he managed to find his quarter (thanks to the computer), and he was just in time for his meeting with his new Chief Officer.

I hope he won’t notice the dressing, thought the Andorian, smoothing the last bump he could see on his vest. Should I have taken time to iron it, I would’ve been late. He remembered from his assignment notice who his superior was- Lieutenant Spenn, Lieutenant Commander to be exact, as his record stated. From what he would’ve seen, he was Vulcan, which made him a little tense. It’s like talking to a frozen wall, he ruminated.

After his little jog across the deck, a turbolift appeared on one of his sides. Without slowing, Ashir took it right as the door opened to his presence.

“Deck 12”, he stated. The door shut close on him before moving the worried Ensign to his destination.

The Sickbay was quite calm, he assessed. Although the place was new to him, he could already feel the familiarity of the medical bed, the surgery table, and the tools and equipment trolls were disposing of. My new workplace, he proudly thought. The equipment here was way better than the one he was used to having in the Beta Quadrant outposts, and already this sight was filling him with some confidence.

Approaching the door leading to the CMO Office, he chimed at the threshold and waited.

Spenn was completing a report on a Security ensign that somehow accidently fired their phaser at himself. And that was barely the weirdest visit he had this week. Just as he was about to submit it when he heard the door chime.

“Enter,” He commanded plainly.

The door opened in front of the Andorian. Entering the office, Ashir took a few steps in before straightening himself, his arms crossed behind him.

“Ensign Ashir th’Qiaqir, reporting for duty, Sir,” said the blue humanoid.

“Yes, the Captain notified me of your arrival. Take a seat,” Spenn said in the typical toneless Vulcan fashion.

Ashir nodded, taking a seat in front of the CMO desk. He managed to arrive on time (just in time, in fact), which he was quite happy with.

Looking around the office, he was about to make a compliment before abstaining. He preferred to wait for the Vulcan to speak first, and to know what kind of Chief Officer he was.
