Nala’s combadge chirped softly against her collar.

Her ears twitched immediately toward the sound, tail giving a small anticipatory flick before she tapped the badge.

“=/= Ensign Nala Shai’Mori t’Liriena here, Commander,” she replied, voice quick but composed.

She was already rising from her station as she continued.

“On my way to the CSO’s office. =/=”

The channel closed, and she gathered her PADD with efficient precision. Whatever fatigue or lingering sensory strain clung to her, it shifted aside under the weight of purpose.

Chief Science Officer.

Her ears angled forward, alert and curious.

As she made her way toward Deck 13, stride measured and posture straight, her mind was already turning over possibilities briefing follow-up, mission reassignment, sensor recalibration. She didn’t slow.

Whatever this was, she would be ready for it.
