Piper headed for sick bay for her check in. Not one of her favorite things to do, but she headed that way anyway. She had her medical file in hand. Nothing spectacular that would make anyone cringe too much anyway. Stepping into sickbay, she looked around for an available doctor or nurse that she could talk to about getting the physical completed.

Spenn was in the middle of delivering a Trill-Betazoid baby when he noticed the Lieutenant wait for someone. “Lieutenant, please take a seat on Biobed Four.” Spenn told Grant before looking at the mother, “I encourage you to push.”

Piper took a seat on the appropriate Bio bed and waited. She considered the laboring mother and her thoughts wandered to her own mother and baby brother that she had left on Bajor with her oldest brother since their father had been missing for several years. In an earth saying ‘He went out for milk and never came back’. One of her goals while in StarFleet was to try and find her father or what had happened to him, but that was for a different time, she pulled her thoughts back to the ship and sat on the bed waiting for the fresh cry of a newborn.

A cry was heard throughout Sickbay, followed by Dr. Spenn announcing, “It is female.”

Soon after taking care of the necessary examinations and handing the newborn to her mother, Spenn approached the waiting Grant. “My apologies for the wait. Delivering children is an arduous process,” Spenn said, “May I have your name and reason for coming?”

Piper smiled “Not a concern Doctor. I’m Piper Grant, I am here for my onboarding physical.” She said handing him a medical data padd. Piper is a joined Trill and is in good health.

OOC: I thought she was a Bajoran-Human?

IC: Spenn looked at the PADD. It has quite thorough. “No ailments or diseases that would interfere with your Starfleet duties. Eyesight is within acceptable parameters. Impressive.” Spenn said bluntly.
