Becket stood there happy in his ready room. Wondered. Since the last mission was successful and successfully brought the away team back from the last mission he wanted to promote his doctor. =/\= ”Doctor Spenn report to my ready room. You might like what I have for you.”=/\=. Becket tapped his combadge and smiled.

Spenn soon entered the ready room. “What is the reason for my summons, Captain?” He asked, “New tricorders? More pain medication?”

He smiled. “At ease Doctor. Nothing medically needed. I do have some good news. With our last mission that we have just completed, you successfully brought that Trill alive if I read that correctly. Well I am here y promoting you to the rank of Lieutenant Commander.” He said with a smile.

Spenn raised a brow. His actions were typical procedure and not necessarily warrant a promotion. “Captain, I question the logic in your decision,” Spenn told him, “My actions on the starbase were standard procedure and not particularly notable enough to warrant a promotion of rank.”

He smiled a bit. “I agree. But here’s the thing Lieutenant. I prefer all my senior officers to be a Lieutenant Commander.” He replied.
